I player from the Pittsburgh Passion tweeted him and called him a f***** (gay slur) I think over him going nuts that they should not be allowed to play at that soccer only stadium. And he wants her cut from the team, an apology and what not. I think he just wants outrage were it normally would be had anyone else other than a female from an irrelevant team said the same thing. By the by, he retweeted somethign from her and I just out her profile, she don't look too bad.KennyTheKangaroo wrote:for those of us not keen to twitter, can you give us a brief summary

I thought I heard that it was a little more than that, like she was using the above slur regularly and he was gonna contact some pro-gay rights group about it.
And yes, she doesn't look too bad.

Her twitter feed was a little, um...interesting, too. Goodbye and farewell to the Machine.
Alexander should be next.
O wait, make that Filliponi.

John Seibel was on the air in Pittsburgh? I was hoping he went to Greenland after he left ESPN.

its easy to pinpoint many reasons why his style never hit it off.Seibel was reported to be one of the highest-paid hosts at The Fan. His style never hit it off in Pittsburgh, although it's hard to pinpoint any one reason why it did not.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
Wasn't a fan of Seibel. Seemed like a good guy, but the "broadcast school, cookie-cutter ESPN anchor" style was all over him. It seemed forced and unnatural - someone doing a radio show like they knew they were doing a radio show as opposed to just talking. I think this is a big reason why I like guys like Savran. It's just talking, engaging a caller or guest...no forced, overdone deliveries.
That said, I feel bad that the guy lost his job, especially this close to the holidays. Then again, a couple of weeks before the holidays...a couple of weeks after...what does it matter, I guess.
Smizik hints at more changes. I'll be interested to see what happens, particularly with Vinnie & Cook, Alexander and Poni, as those four seem to draw the most vitriol out of the Fan lineup.
I do hope Mueller gets bumped up to an earlier timeslot.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
None of those moves would surprise me. I can see Alexander maybe doing more stuff with Root if he gets bumped. Cook will still have his job at the PP-G and will still be a miserable human being. Poni? The number of people who I've heard speak of Fillaponi in a positive way is a number shaped liked a bagel.
Don't ask me why, but I can see Vinnie still having a spot on the Fan even after downsizing.
And yes, Mueller deserves to be bumped up into something that isn't the late shift.

I was never a huge fan of Siebel, but didn't hate him either. I thought he did decent.
The only guy I truly can't listen to is Filiponi.
I agree with the poster who said they like Savran, he just carries a conversation, he doesn't try to deliver entertainment (if that sounds right).

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
I havent listened to the fan since August. That being said, I guess its good they got rid of one of Seibel and Starkey because I could never tell difference between two, so always felt lost in conversations about him. Was he the one that had a concussion so is now the fan's concussion expert.. or was he the one that was the ACL expert? Or is that the same person?
That being said, my opinions of different guys on the fan vary, but I honestly never thought any of them are as bad as people make them out to be (outside of Poni.... I seriously don't understand how he's kept a job for so long)
