Glad to hear a positive review on the Kona Porter. I really like their Koko Brown ale but haven't tried this one yet. I'll have to check it out.
I've enjoyed the Koko Brown, Longboard lager, and the Wailua Wheat from Kona. Had a Big Wave golden ale last night and it was my least favorite that I've tried from them. Still want to try the Fire Rock Pale Ale, not sure what else they have out there.

Has anyone ever tried Otter Creek's stuff? I've had their Stovepipe Porter and Copper Ale, enjoyed them both.

Mmm, Otter Creek. I grew up on it and it's one of my favorites. Copper Ale is excellent, as is the Black IPA. Stovepipe Porter is the first smoked porter I had and has a very smoky, strong flavor to it. Great winter beer. Summer Ale is decent. Winter Red is quite good. I don't know that I've had an Otter Creek that I don't like, except for maybe a Kolsch that they used to make. But I'm not a fan of Kolsches. I just noticed that they've got an Imperial Stout, so I wonder how that is.

They also make Wolaver's as their Organic line of beers. The Wolavers Oatmeal Stout is very good.

One of my friends had an OC variety pack awhile back and told me it was really good. Have not tried any myself though.

I like it, but it seems to best work as a dessert beer.
It's so malty, that I wouldn't want to have it with any food.

Since I just finished dinner, I'm cracking one now. 8-)

Picked up a six of Henry Weinhards Private Reserve (lager).

As far as I'm concerned, Old Henry should have kept it private.

Favorite IPA is still DFH 60.
Favorite Lager is still BluePoint Toasted Lager. (Although Brooklyn comes in a close second)

Not much of a Winter Ale guy, but if anyone has a winner in that catagory, I'm willing to give it a shot.

Doing a Beer Exchange party on Saturday, rules are:

1) Must be craft beer
2) Must be $40 or more
3) No duplicates

I chose to do Southern Tier Old Man Winter Ale, never had it before, it is so hard to not tap into right now

I'm going to try, but don't think I will be able to get to the only place selling it near me early enough. They open at 3 tomorrow, and start giving out tickets at 2. I was going to take half the day off at work and try to get there around 11am, but there will likely be people camping out tonight, and a long line by that time...

I walked into a pretty generic looking convenience store a few blocks from work and they had a Southern Tier display across from the counter. Granted, it is a pretty expensive/tourist area, but still.

That's a good woman. I don't like many belgians racist but I do like all of the Rochefort series.

Got a 6-pack of Kona Pipeline Porter. Pretty darn good. Huge coffee flavor...almost too much. Don't bother trying it if you don't like cold coffee.

Wife picked up a case of the Sam Adam's winter sampler...

White Christmas is good, but holy nutmeg! Almost like a beery eggnog. I'm not sure about it...
Chocolate Bock is pretty good. A lot of chocolate and roasted malts...
Winter Lager is pretty good.
Holiday Porter is pretty good.

I'm a sucka for Old Fezziwig. I'm not sure why, but I love this beer once a year.

I thought the opposite with coffee flavor, I also had a cold, so that might have factored into it, but I enjoyed it very much
