I just switched to Comcast and have HBO (including on demand) free for three months.

So, that second season of GOT that I haven't seen....
Yep, I will be watching that.

And your 3 free months will conveniently end right before Season 3 begins (3/31).

Just got the first 5 books for Xmas. Started the first one. Like others have said, the HBO series season 1 pretty much follows the book to the T. I'm only about 75 pages in, but it's great so far.

70 days. :scared:

So anyway, I was watching their latest vlog and overheard something that piqued my interest...
Spoiler:
The actress who plays Olenna made a comment about "two quite bold scenes" and it makes me think that both weddings will happen during this season. I wasn't sure if they would go far enough for the second. I suspect that will be pretty close to the end of the season, probably the finale.

Probably. IIRC, they showed Season 1 leading up to the premiere of 2. The blur-ray/dvd sets will be out later in February as well... the 19th to be exact.

id guess Joffrey being poisoned will be the final scene of the season seeing as how Oberyn Martell doesn't appear in Season 3

According to their website, they are showing them on HBO East @ 10PM on Saturday nights... already will be on Episode 3 come this Saturday. Also didn't list dates for the last 2 episodes, but based on the schedule, there would be time for 9 and 10 as well (with 10 airing the night before the Season 3 finale).

All episodes should be available On Demand and on HBO Go as well according to the site.

I'm personally waiting to get the blu-ray set and then I'll watch the hell out of that prior to the start of the season.

It looks like it's a one and done thing for season 2.
I should have asked a few weeks earlier.

But thanks!

:pop:

I'm kind of tired of waiting for the next book and I bet we'll still have quite awhile to go... frustrating. It sounds like there are a few chapters which were supposed to be in DwD that may have had it not leave so many damn things up in the air.

The best part about reading the books when I did is that the 5th book came out conveniently right after I had started into book 4. Unfortunately, now I am stuck in the same wait that fans had between 4 and 5. Grr.

Just picked up my DVD set of season two.
I don't get HBO, so this is the first time I will be seeing these screen adaptations.
So so pumped.

Hmmm.... just noticed the double post now.

Anywho... blew through Season 2 last weekend... I enjoyed it a lot more as a whole than I necessarily did on the original viewing. Extremely fired up for Season 3.
