I want to talk about the target/dreamer. It really seems to me that they have to be the same person and that the person has to be oblivious to his/her role as target/dreamer. I recall someone speculating that they are different people, does anybody remember who that was?

I think the dreamer and the target are the same, meaning if he's revealed the game would end and the subconscious would win. Right?

That's possible but i think that the dreamer and target are separate roles.

so doc says no, the target and dreamer are not one in the same. so target, stay hidden.

This is the discussion I was thinking of. I don't get it, though. If the dreamer is in this game and is different than the target, that means that the dreamer is in the "real world" and not in the dream world. So, if that is the case, how could they be participating in the game?

remember back to the movie kraft. ellen paige's character is the dreamer, the architect of the dream. the business guy is the target. In the movie they are different roles, but who knows about this game. they may be one in the same, they may not be.

im looking at the target as the main protagonist within the game. the reds want to eliminate the target. the greens want to find (wake up?) the dreamer so the invasion of the mind can stop. the dreamer probably has a subconscious projection within the dream to make the connection to the dreamer (a totem, of sorts).

that make sense?

I don't think this 3 hour window is all that much worse than any other time of the day. Maybe because it includes lunch, but seems as good a time as any.

I'd prefer we didn't. I'm sure we're allowed to talk, but give the reds more info than they need, don't think that's a good idea. I would suggest everyone just go back a reread some of the previous day phases.

I'm not clear on whether this is an extraction or inception. I didn't get the impression that the reds were looking to kill the target, that could be wrong, though. I thought the reds were after information. The only way that makes sense to me is if they need a certain amount of time and a certain number of levels to either get the information or accomplish the inception.

I didn't think about the architect being the dreamer. That doesn't really make sense, though, because the architect knows that its a dream.

Right. So, would you agree in the movie the target and the dreamer are the same person (one being the real person one being the projection of the person in the dream?)?
