Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Stopped by Whole Foods tonight, and they had Founders Breakfast Stout in stock (not the KBS). Regardless, it is an absolutely fantastic beer, world-class IMO. It doesn't quite fly off the shelves like KBS does, but people tend to make a bank run for it.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Hitting up the big pour on saturday and will probably end up crashing at my friend's house in the south side after. If so, we'll probably check this out the next morning.
Sunday, SEPT. 9
• Beer breakfast brunch featuring coffee beers and Belgian-style waffles at Fat Head's in South Side. 11 a.m. Founder's Canadian Breakfast Stout, Kentucky Breakfast Stout and Frangelic Mountain Brown, plus Terrapin Substance Abuse, an imperial coffee stout aged in Jack Daniels barrels, and waffles from Point Brugge Cafe. 412-431-7433 or fatheads.com.

$7 for a 25 oz. pour of Pumking seems like robbery (and a dangerous idea, haha), but that's what I'm getting at Dive right now.

Yeah, it's sick. I'm a member of the mug club there (just a one-time $15 thing and you're set), and you get a 25 oz. pour of any draft for the same price as a 16 ouncer. ![Thumbs Up :thumb:](./images/smilies/thumbup.gif)

In fact, that's like accidentally blacking out on a weeknight and waking up at 10 the next morning and realizing you had to be at work 2 hours ago.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
I left work early and hit the beer shop:
Founders Breakfast Stout
Weihenstephaner Festbier
Somewhat uncomfortably, I ran into my boss on the way out.
He obviously had the same idea.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Trying the Harpoon Octoberfest. First impressions: ilike. Interesting in that you get notes of a dark lager and some hops in there that I wasn't expecting. It's going down smooth as well.
Have to say that Harpoon is hands down my favorite US brewery ATM.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Hey Eddy!! Victory Storm King is AWESOME. I live about 20 minutes from the Victory Brewpub, which is absolutely fantastic, so I am thinking of getting a growler of it to prepare for the fall season
columbia, I am kind of regretting not grabbing the FBS when I saw it at Whole Foods yesterday, but I'm sure there will be some Saturday.
Edit: Would like to repeat my recommendation that you all try the Great Lakes Oktoberfest. IMO, the best beer in that class.

Quick note on that Founders Breakfast Stout:
It would go really well as a dessert beer w/ a very sharp and tart raspberry pie.

I vaguely remember having an espresso stout by great divide and being thoroughly impressed with it.
Which reminds me, if your a bar that prides itself on having a ton of beer on draft, you need to offer flights.

haha same here. I enjoy Harpoon's offerings, but Winter Warmer is one of the few beers that actually makes me want to spit it out. Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
finished up my case of Brooklyn Oktoberfest, really liked it, now that I have room in fridge, I'm on a mission for Great Lakes Oktoberfest. how much does a case of that go for?
