So they're listing the NHL's best ever by first letter. Some picks are of course controversial (B!), but you'd think L was a no-brainer. Think again.

NHL is brutal at these (you should see their top-10 captains of all-time...Sid was on it, Stevens was not...of course, Messier was #1 for no obvious reason at all...)

Quick notes:
- Jari Kurri is better than Red Kelly? That's news to me...
- Lemieux and Lidstrom are not tied, let's get serious...no shame being runner-up to Mario...
- Lafleur and Leetch are not tied, let's get serious...also, if Lafleur is somehow dragged down to Leetch's level, I wonder where that places Newsy Lalonde and Ted Lindsay!
- Mikita and Morenz were both better than Messier by a clear margin...if MacInnis is there, the Big M should be there, so should Joe Malone...maybe even Dickie Moore...

Just gonna quickly look at the others (through cracks between the fingers covering my face)...

- No Syl Apps for A?
- Brodeur better than Beliveau and Bourque? Don't think so...
- No mention of Bobby Clarke for C?
- I'd take Dryden over Dionne
- Forsberg was better than Francis
- The Answer to "H" is Howe followed by Harvey or Bobby Hull...anything else is just ridiculous...
- Not that he was better than Richard, but no mention of Larry Robinson for R?
- No mention of Eddie Shore or Milt Schmidt for S?
