That would seriously drive me nuts. I get gasket-blowing angry at drivers that fail to respect the two-lane turning zones.

Like I said above a few posts, it drives me nuts and makes me angry, mainly because she is going to get into an accident one day, and she constantly has my daughter in the car, it scares the crap out of me.

She yells at me because I drive 5-10mph over the speed limit on highways and gets angry saying I'm a dangerous driver doing that.

Yet even though she goes the speed limit, she has no awareness of anything around her and to me, that makes her FAR more dangerous.

One final driving petpeave, and this happened at the Bucco game the other night.

Down where 28 ends and you are at the light and you can either go left into the city or right into the parking areas, it gets backed up because the left lane has people turning into lots. I finally get to the point where I get to the light and can get into the right lane as I was going to park in the parking garage near Heinz. I get some jagoff who pulls out in front of me because they are sick of waiting in the left lane where everyone is turning in the lots. Fine, he is is just trying to get through the traffic.

But the AHOLE is trying to turn in the same lot, but doesn't want to wait in line, so when he gets up to where the gate is, he turns on his left turnsignal, tries to push into the line, where noone is letting him, and proceeds to block the entire right lane, causing all sorts of traffic behind him.

I along with others are blowing the horn, and he is getting mad putting his hands out the window like "what am I supposed to do?" . Well, you could have waited in line to turn into that lot with everyone else.

Eventually a cop saw this and made him go straight, which then he had to drive all the way down past Heinz, around it and probably back to that line and sit in it again. Instead of waiting 2 or 3 minutes, he probably added another 15-20 minutes to his wait. I'm glad that cop was there.

I know exactly what intersection you are talking about because we got stuck for an hour at that light on the 4th of July this year because people kept cutting in line. Luckily for me my dad was driving because I would have went nuts. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. I deal with a similar situation on my home from work some days. Most days though the traffic isn't bad and I don't have a problem.

When you have your turn signal on, I'm expecting you to make a turn. Don't get pi**y when I pull out into your lane expecting you to turn and you keep going straight.

The only rebuttle I have to this is if there is say a parking lot right after the intersection and they are turning in there.

They are turning their turnsignal on at the appropriate time giving fair warning, but it's the right immediately after the intersection.

That's why I just usually wait until the person either starts their turn or goes by me, because I've almost been in an accident on both sides of the equation.

It was something like a T; I was pulling out of a parking lot onto the straight and he had his left turn signal on as if he were turning into the lot.

I saw another car's lights coming over the hill and thought it was a good time to move, because he'd be turning. Turns out he wasn't turning.

As for his speed, I couldn't really tell. I made a quick call because of the car coming from my left and figured he was slowing down anyway.

Guess that gives credence to the "Expect the other guy to do something stupid" rule. I'm lucky he didn't hit me. He probably would've thrown a fit.

i had one today. i'm driving 52 in the left lane in the process of passing a line of cars driving 45 in the right line. someone makes a right onto this boulevard but jumps out into the left lane to avoid the people in the right lane bearing down on him. but he doesn't notice i'm quickly passing all of them and now he's going so slowly that i have to jam my breaks. now he lets all the people in the right lane pass him as he gains speed and i'm stuck behind him to my dismay.

another one. there's a left hand turn signal lane i'm coming from (per the double lane left hand turning chat above) but i have to make an IMMEDIATE right after it to take an exit. so i try to make it obvious to those across from me that are trying to yield into the right hand lane that i'm coming and i'm coming into their lane because i need that exit. i do it cautiously, but aggressively so they know i'm not giving them that right hand lane. i have a green light and they have to yield and i need that right hand lane. but it's imperative that i do it cautiously. anyway, is that my right-away to take that right hand lane from those yielders in this case?

Driving on McIntyre Road by the loading docks and the Kane place (the retirement home). Some guy went into the left turn only lane and decided he wanted to go straight, right as I was passing him. I beeped (not very long, just to warn him I was there) cuz I thought he was going to hit me, then he laid on his horn the next 10 minutes while I waited at the light to turn onto McKnight.

Some people... man.

It seems like you might be pulling somewhat of a dink move here but I'm not really clear on what it is you're trying to do, so i'm not totally sure.

People who slow nearly to a stop before exiting the roadway. GET IT THE BLEEP OFF THE ROAD

Usually a blue hair but got passed on the expressway by a Mustang GT going probably 95 leading up to the Chippewa exit last week. Got behind him on the off ramp and speedy slowed nearly to a stop before taking an immediate right at the next intersection.

Here's another one:

You're hoping to make a left turn and see a car in the opposite direction that will be making a right turn.
Both of you are turning onto a road, which is two lanes in both directions.

Now - theoretically - we should both be able to turn at the same time....but why do I hesitate?

I'll tell you why: some many horrible drivers make that right turn into the left lane.
If you try to turn at the same time, it's an instant accident.

Unless there is a light stating otherwise, the driver making the right hand turn has the right of way, they're allowed to turn into either lane, it doesn't matter that there are 2 lanes there. If you turn at the same time and an accident happens the person making the left will be considered at fault by the insurance company

Ugh. I go away from the board for a couple of months and when I come back I find out that the LGP PDT is locked... It's been five years where we've had a great discussion in the PDT or some derivative thereof. Not a single lock despite some pretty deep philosophical/political disagreements.

Very disappointing. Whoever is responsible for causing the mods to resort to the lock, hope you're proud of yourself.
