Grabbing a Petrus Oud Bruin draft and glass tonight at Ho1KB. If I have time for one other draft, I think it'll be the 21st Amendment saison.

That's cool. How do you find out about their give-away nights? I just "liked" them on Facebook, so I hope that they send out announcements through that.Kraftster wrote:Grabbing a Petrus Oud Bruin draft and glass tonight at Ho1KB. I will be swinging down for the Petrus as well. Awesome brew and I've not had it on draft.

Grabbed the glass and a bottle of the vas deferens. Nearly bought the Hanssens kreik, but $35 was just too rich.

Haha. That was basically the joke of the night at my buddy's diaper party that I went to after. I asked several people if they wanted to see my vas deferens. The beer itself wasn't bad. What a label, though.columbia wrote:Pardon me.Kraftster wrote:bottle of the vas deferens.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Yeah... I don't think I would ever drink a beer called Vas Deferens... and definitely not with that label.
Anywho... just went to the fridge to grab a raspberry hefeweizen only to discover I hadn't put anymore in the fridge.
So while I wait for those to chill, drinking the final Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat.

Ommegang Abbey Ale. Really deep flavor and excellent overall. First time I've had an Ommegang.

Ommegang makes some excellent stuff.MWB wrote:Ommegang Abbey Ale. Really deep flavor and excellent overall. First time I've had an Ommegang.
We initially planned to go to the brewery later this year, since my wife's aunt and uncle live about an hour from Cooperstown. Sadly, we found out that the weekend we are going there, Darius Rucker is giving a free concert at the brewery. No way I am going up there with that kind of insanity.
Can't wait for when we do make that trip. Brewery + Baseball Hall of Fame? Yes please.

If anyone has an Andriod or iPhone download the app 'Untappd' you can record the types of beers you have had. Just downloaded it but it is prety neat.

I have a $30 gift card to Barley and Hops in South Park. I like IPAs and imperial stouts that sort of thing-strong stuff. What should I buy?

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
i got the new sam adams fall sampler. it's got the usual stuff, like oktoberfest, and boston lager. it also had their harvest pumpkin ale, which is new to me (kind of blah), but the star of the pack was the Hazel Brown. I wish i could just get a 6 pack of that. it was pretty tasty.

Stumbled upon Big Bear Black Stout at Wegman's today. Got a 100 rating on Beer Advocate. Pretty excited to try it.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Nice. That's the Petrus glass Ho1kB had on friday.
I don't love brown sours myself, but Petrus is not bad. If that's the pale too, I've heard its very good.
