Re: Your irrational pet peeves
Haha, I don't think there's any problem with posting the big milestones (I've done it), but I agree with c2i that some people take it far beyond that. There is one girl I know that, almost every day, posts about how "IT'S TIME FOR ZUMBA CLASS OMG YESSSS". We get it, you go to Zumba. Shaddup about it. The point of working out isn't to blast it all over social media, it's to get healthy.

Pretty much how I feel about all people who post daily/hourly updates about the gym/working out/diet. Self serving to the max imo.

Have I mentioned my pet peeve of e-cards flooding my timeline?Malkamaniac wrote:Pretty much how I feel about all people who post daily/hourly updates about the gym/working out/diet. Self serving to the max imo.

Some are funny (I did laugh at the one above), most are just terrible recycled jokes in e-card format. I'm not sure if it's better or worse when people just blow by the e-card format and just open up Paint and type out some self-serving comment for the world to share.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
First and last time I ever use one. it's super pathetic to see those as well. My 15 year old cousins post them all the time on Facebook. I feel bad I had to block their posts but it is what it is. 15 year old girls just get annoying, family or not.JS© wrote:Have I mentioned my pet peeve of e-cards flooding my timeline? ;)Malkamaniac wrote:Pretty much how I feel about all people who post daily/hourly updates about the gym/working out/diet. I always say they're going to the gym to pick up their kids from their karate classes.count2infinity wrote:Back to facebook raging...
I hate the people that post all the time about going to the gym. We get it, you go to the gym, you don't need to tell us every day about it. I think the only thing worse than gym posters are diet posters. My one facebook friend seems to have a new diet every 2 weeks and posts about how awesome it is. If it's that awesome, why didn't you stick with it instead of changing all the time? Reminds me of the old joke, "How will you know if someone is a vegetarian? Don't worry...they'll tell you."
The only time I want to read about nutritional choices is in the Breakfast thread.

I enjoy seeing people talk about getting "Timelined" on Facebook like they were just diagnosed with Stage IV terminal cancer. For crying out loud....it's a different format to your FB page. You will get used to it. Stop acting like some great injustice has been enforced upon you.

I don't like the new timeline because it makes it easier for someone to track down something stupid I may have said way back when.shafnutz05 wrote:I enjoy seeing people talk about getting "Timelined" on Facebook like they were just diagnosed with Stage IV terminal cancer. Re: Your irrational pet peeves
People (read: girls) who send multiple text messages consecutively that all are part of the same single thought. Just got these ones after I told someone I would be out of town and can't go out for her bday.
Oh.
Well then.
Where are you going?
I see how it is

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
I am peeved that I can’t seem to shop for books without the seller pushing Fifty Shades of Grey books in front of me. The appeal of those books mystifies me. I mean, if you really want to get your rocks off to poorly written BDSM porn stories, do people not realize there are sites on the internet to get thousands of stories like that for free? You don’t need to pay for crappy books that the author admits were originally Twilight fan fiction.

one pretty specific to where i live... the local sports media seems to be trying extremely hard to get M&T Bank Stadium referred to as "The Big Crab Cake". i have never heard that before this year, and it is just a ridiculously bad name for a stadium, which makes the attempt to shove it down people's throats all the worse.
