wowzers. Depending on the asking price, another Atlantic Division team potentially gets stronger.

Re: Nash to NYR
Nash will be right at home, since the NY media doesn't realize it's hockey season till mid-March. Plenty of time for him to underperform.

Really? I'd say the NY media is much more likely to trash him if he dogs it.

I have an autographed Nash jersey for sale. I hate the Rangers.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
I'm told Rick Nash trade to NYR is done pending trade call. Stepan not included.

I think I read something about a kid turning a paperclip into a house on ebay. I think this is better.canaan wrote:I have an autographed Nash jersey for sale. I hate the Rangers.

It's just amazing that all of the big moves usually involve an Atlantic conference team. Maybe just seems that way because I follow them closer.

Anisimov, Dubinsky, Erixon, 1st? Meh. Good deal for NYR, and I am a Nash hater.

This trade may be better than the Hossa trade.Mr. Colby wrote:Wow. That's all the better Columbus could do?

Re: Nash to NYR
You have to walk out of that deal with somebody like Kreider, McDonagh, JT Miller, something. Anisimov is nothing, Dubinsky is a 2nd liner at best.

Jesus. Maybe Tangradi, Kennedy, Despres, 1st actually would have got it done. Eek.mac5155 wrote:This trade may be better than the Hossa trade.Mr. Colby wrote:Wow. That's all the better Columbus could do?

I think this situation illustrates the danger in handing out NTCs of any variety. I'd love to see them banned in the next CBA.

Re: Nash to NYR
We have to remember that Nash is still badly overpaid. Including the Dubinsky contract helps, though.

Re: Nash to NYR
Well, no, that's worse than what they got. But yeah, this is an undersell, considering what they were offered at the deadline. Even that Clowe/Pavelski+ offer doesn't look so bad anymore...roughly similar to this...

Yeah, I think I'd prefer Clowe/Pavelski/Demers/1st if that was the offer.

Re: Nash to NYR
I'll believe that NYR won the trade, after I see Nash actually try for a full season and a playoff run.

Re: Nash to NYR
At least Penguin killer Dubinsky is out of the division, but I'm still unhappy.
