That's going to make watching Sabres games on MSG much less enjoyable.Kovy27 wrote:Trade --- Derek Roy to DAL for Steve Ott and Adam Pardy.

I think I'm a big fan of that Jokinen deal for the Jets.

The Price deal seems about right. Like the Jokinen deal from a Jets perspective.

For sure, he has surprisingly been playing well the past few seasons. He should be able to bring some vet leadership to that young group. Should be a nice set up guy for E. Kane.Kraftster wrote:I think I'm a big fan of that Jokinen deal for the Jets.

So Matt Carle, 6 years at $5.5 million to Tampa. The Flyers are getting easier to play against.

Matt "Hot" Carle is the most overrated (and now overpaid) defenseman since Wade Redden.

Yzerman had been doing a good job until this, wonder if ownership pressured for this.

Just looking at their defense now. It's softer than soft without Carle and who knows if Pronger is ever coming back.mikey287 wrote:The Flyers would be easier to play against if they kept him...

I think Fedotenko is a good signing for the Flyers. I liked how he played with the Rangers. Not going to put up many points, but he's a strong body to play against and a dependable role player.

I would take 20 million to live in Russia. Its not like Russia is a terrible place. Sure their government is corrupt, but the people are seemingly friendly (on the few interactions I have had with Russian immigrants) and that is truly what makes it worthwhile. And 400% more money doesn't hurt either.Gaucho wrote:You would?shmenguin wrote:even in a non-hockey capacity, if you were giving me 20 million a year to live in russia vs. 5 million a year to live in the US, i'd pick the US.

Re: NHL Transactions and News - 2012 Offseason
I'd definitely stay in America. I could live extremely comfortably the rest of my life on $5 million without living halfway around the world from everyone I care about.
