Re: Jagr question
You do realize that I said Jagr signing with the Pens is as likely as a new Lemieux comeback?Kovy27 wrote:Lesky wrote:Well, if the Parise saga goes on to long and the Pens end up missing out, they might make a half-hearted pitch for Jagr, since they must spend the money somewhere.
But I find this scenario as likely as new Lemieux comeback!
You do realize that Jagr burned every bridge here. There is 0, nada, zilch chance that Jagr returns to Pittsburgh in a Pens uniform. **** him and his drama.

Per " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;According to a source w/knowledge of proceedings, Jaromir Jagr isn't interested in going to Habs or Bruins. Talking w/Stars now #BruinsTalk

You know, you really don't have to update both Jagr threads.

If Jagr is the best available player, I don't know why they wouldn't inquire. You could argue that its GMRS's job to inquire, at the least.

Re: Jagr question
@Pitt87 - Kovy is right. There is no chance the Penguins would give Jagr even a sniff after last year's debacle. He had his chance and Mario's blessing, and he left the Penguins at the altar. Based on production, Jagr was a different player after the break. He really hit a wall. I would rather stand pat.

Its amazing how no one knows what happened just a year ago. Shero "put an offer" out there that was probably a joke and then rescinded it before it was even possible for it to be signed.Kraftster wrote:Debacle last year? Meh, RS lowballed the hell out of him.

Much is terrifying in the world - but to follow my childhood heros last show closely is hardly terrifying. If you think so you must see terror everywhere

Re: Jagr question
You assume too much; you may know what the public aspect looks like, but you have no idea what the relationship is like between Mario and Jagr. No one outside the organization really does.Brian wrote:@Pitt87 - Kovy is right. There is no chance the Penguins would give Jagr even a sniff after last year's debacle. I don't see it happening, but its awfully presumptive to say with any degree of certainty that one of the greatest players in our franchises history wouldn't get a second chance if the circumstances were right.

Re: Jagr question
Agreed. The haters have succeded with their HATE ON JAGR FOR NO REASON campaign! Its very encouraging to see a few honest people who dare call out the haters lies and made up scenarios to justify their hatred I get so much **** for taking the honest fight alone.Idoit40fans wrote:Its amazing how no one knows what happened just a year ago. I would take Jagr over Parise at this point. Parise act this year is much worse than Jagr's.

Re: Jagr question
It should be noted that 24 other NHL teams offered Jagr more money than the Stars, but he took this deal because he liked what the stars are "trying to do".
