One would think the fact that every time there is a chance he could come back to Pittsburgh the fans go crazy would perhaps change his mind about Pittsburgh. Alas, Jagr continues to prove time and time again that he is one strange dude.
Absolutely agree. It's the classic heel/face turn to use a wrestling comparison. He just needs to show up and drop a puck a couple years after he retires, do some interviews, and he'll be back in everyone's good graces.
Yea, i don't see him going after him either. But no doubt Jagr can still bring it. I wonder what Jagr is looking for as far as salary. I thought I remember a quote where he said this was his last year in the NHL before heading off to his fathers team in Europe.

I remember the Oilers went after him hard before he jetted to the KHL. Maybe they try and lure him there again. That would be a heck of a tutor for the young guys if all the rumors of his leadership and training in philly were true.
I don't think Jagr would waste his time if Shero feigned interest again anyway. Given the history(or ignoring history and look at the past week) of reports about anything sports related, i'm not sure why a report about what he was or was not willing to do would affect your opinion of the guy.
The sad thing is that Kippie and Jan are now going to have to move again, and Jagr makes them run alongside the moving truck rather than riding inside. You can only imagine how traumatic this was when they had to move back to the US from Russia.
Jaromir Jagr interested the Red Wings last season, and will likely interest them again this year. They offered him $2.5 million last year before he signed for $3.3 million with the Flyers. The Wings want to add a top 6 forward, and if they can’t land Zach Parise, Jagr could be part of their backup plan. The Red Wings would like to re-sign Jiri Hudler, but he may test free agency.

He better seriously lose some weight as he's planning because he was clearly out of gas last year and he has to be able to skate with the Wings. There was an article out of Philly in the last couple weeks that argued Jagr was holding Giroux back all season, as a matter of fact, maybe with the exception of early on when they and Hartnell had that streak going. My impressions for Jagr's season were: sucks - ok - still great - ok - sucks.
Apparently Jay Feaster in Calgary is interested in making a pitch for Jagr. It would be interesting to see what Feaster is willing to offer Jagr. If he offers Jaromir a contract that's like 4 million for the year, I could see Jagr going there. Now, this rumour was posted on CNNSI.com, so take it for what it is.
