Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
Yeah, my Richards hate was really more of a hate how NBC (particularly Pierre) drools over him, not really hating him per se. Plus wearing orange and black makes anyone difficult to like.

Anybody see Quick, his daughter, and Sutter at the interview table? It was pretty funny but pretty embarrassing at the same time.

What a great run by the Kings. No one outside of Southern California had them winning the cup when the playoffs began. There was a lot of buzz around this team at the beginning of the season and for obvious reasons, they're a great team. They under-performed for most of the season, just squeaking into the playoffs and never looked back. I'm very happy for them, especially Scuds.

I'm not entire sure people inside Southern California knew they were in the playoffs when it started, or even knew they had them winning the cup haha.count2infinity wrote:What a great run by the Kings. Probably not, ESPN only covers the Lakers and Angels in that area.count2infinity wrote:true story... maybe they know now?Malkamaniac wrote:I'm not entire sure people inside Southern California knew they were in the playoffs when it started, or even knew they had them winning the cup haha.count2infinity wrote:What a great run by the Kings. C2I makes a great point, same thing I was trying to get across last night:
I'd say the Kings were a very good team who underperformed during the regular season as opposed to an average team who overachieved in the playoffs.

I agree with this. And I think all the preseason expectations kind of go along with that too.ExPatriatePen wrote:C2I makes a great point, same thing I was trying to get across last night:

They were 43-18-11 (I think) after December. No one really mentions that.ExPatriatePen wrote:C2I makes a great point, same thing I was trying to get across last night:
