Kings lose, Heat winning, why do I have a feeling with the sports night going this way that Bradley is going to win.

Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
Pretty sure its up to the ref's discretion. If they deem the injury possibly serious enough they can stop the play no matter who has the puck (i.e. Clint Malarchuk). Otherwise they usually are supposed to wait until the injured player's team gains clear possession. In this case obviously they thought the Devil player that went into the boards awkwardly and very hard might be seriously hurt and I kinda agree with the call even though he eventually got up and seemed to be fine. I think if the Kings somehow were on a breakaway or something there they may have let it go, but it wasn't even an odd man rush if I recall correctly.DelPen wrote:So what are the rules when a player is hurt well behind the play and the other team is rushing up the ice? Honestly, Kings need to end it in Game 6. I think if it goes to Game 7 in NJ, Devils win that one.

Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
Why do you guys want it to end? I want game 7. I don't really care who wins. I have no ill will towards the Devils. I like Marty a lot.
The Devils, even though a bit outplayed in the first game, should have won that one. They had 4 or 5 scoring chances that they/anybody normally would score on, but missed open nets or otherwise easy goals. I think this seriously could have been 3-2 for the Devils right now. Kings will probably win at this point because it's awfully difficult to win 4 straight, but I think this series is closer than some realize.
I am not impressed with the Kings. I don't see very much individual skill on that team. Kopitar is really good, but I typically don't see him for most of the game. He is nowhere near Sid or Malkin or Ovechkin, guys that are visible every time they step on the ice. Kings are fast and pretty big at forward, but I don't see them be as physical as some truly physical teams I watched in the past. Brown, for all the talk about him, does nothing for me offensively. He throws his body around, true, but there are 3rd and 4rd liners around the league who do the same.
I am saying that it is clear to me that their best player is Jonathan Quick and that if not for him, they would not be where they are. He is stopping so many great shots and is so confident out there, that it is he who is holding that team together. He better get the MVP if they end up winning the cup.

The Devils had an extrordinary amount of "puckluck" last night. Kings hit the pipe 3 times and the winning goal went in off a Kings pleyer's jersey. Geez.

If the Kings lose game 6, I think it is clear that they are moving to the KHL and it will happen late summer.newarenanow wrote:Honestly, Kings need to end it in Game 6. I think if it goes to Game 7 in NJ, Devils win that one.
