I tried another local Florida brew last night--Inlet's Monk in the Trunk, which was billed as a Belgian-style amber. I couldn't taste anything Belgian about. It was pretty much a decent, but unremarkable amber ale.

Verdict on Florida breweries so far:

Ok, when I read what you could get for $45, I thought it said "Live entertainment and live chicken". :face:

Reading comprehension a little off this am.

Discuss of Maine in the NBA thread reminded me. I have to get up to Maine to visit some relatives one of these days and now I have another reason. I really want to get my hands on Allagash Interlude. Can't find it anywhere around here. I think Monk's in Philly gets some but that's all I can see for PA.

Weyerbacher has a sour coming out this summer that will be available at the brewery only. Might have to make a trip out to Easton (or wherever Weyerbacher is out there).

I think I want to go to this. My illness has knocked out a big chunk of home-improvement-that-must-be-completed-before-my-daughter's-first-birthday time, though. I have to figure out whether I have time to get drunk at 4:00 on a Saturday.

Make time. $40 for 4 hours of food and drink is hard to beat.

Great beer, it came close, in fact i think ive found my second favorite IPA, but Dogfish head IPA 60 is still king - Long live the King)
The best I've had is Heady Topper Double IPA. Will be tough to find though.

This is good. Caramel-ly, rich, smooth, subtle hoppy notes.

Nice! Was introduced to that beer at Easter when a friend brought it over for our Easter party (a lot of people don't go home for Easter in my program). It's delicious.
