Book Spoiler
Spoiler:
I really lose interest in the story since House Stark basically gets wiped out. Most of the characters outside of that mean nothing to me...
Really sorry everyone

As a note, it's not quite as dire as Rylan made it sound with that spoiler, if that helps.

I have decided Tyrion Lannister is awesome. He joins my small list of awesome characters.

Don't look. It makes watching the series much more interesting/exciting.

Well I just finished A Feast for Crows, so I know whats going to happen. It's that elusive 5th book that I keep dodging.

I can't have it both ways, but I kinda wish I went into the tv show blind to the books like I did with the 1st season. I just can't wait 2-3 years to find out what happens next.

I just put the first season in my Netflix Q.
Is this going to be like smoking and I'm going to be addicted faster than I realize?

At least the show fans just need to wait a year before the next season. Book fans wait 5+ years for the next book in comparison.

I really hope the wait for Book 6 isn't 5 years... I was fortunate enough that book 5 came out right before I finished 4 so I had no wait.

I read 2-5 in a row after season 1 on HBO. I'll probably go back and read the first book to see what was different.

I wouldn't be surprised. He's been doing a few other writing projects like TV shows and the new Dunk and Egg installment. Looks like the next book is hardly a priority.

It's a good thing book 3 is being split into 2 seasons. It buys some time for the next few books. The show may catch up to the books if it lasts that long.

I just bought Dance with Dragons on Amazon for $18. I'm tired of trying to avoid spoilers. It will keep me busy for a while since I'm still in full ASoIaF mode.

Martin isn't exactly a spring chicken and his stature is a bit like that of samwell, so he better write quick to avoid a Jordan/Wheel of Time debacle.

I also want to note I never read a single WoT book mainly because most who did were pretentious about it. So Im kinda happy the series can't be truly finished.

2. take a trip to pay my respectspiss on his grave

Interview w Martin. Nothing earth shattering, but talks a bit about his writing habits and such. http://www.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/insi ... pid=ABC587
