Another Jagr's commercial - "The Bed" (incidentally, it aired March 8 )

Also, "Fortuna", the rival betting company to Sazka (which has a commercial deal with Jagr) started running the parody of this Jagr's commercial

(which has a tagline "Win [our jackpot] and start doing only things that you really like).
The parody tagline "Do you really think that being a pizza delivery guy is better than being a rich and successful hockey player? Win [our jackpot] and stop doing things that you really DON'T like!"
The parody video:

There's gotta be some secret message in there saying he wants to play for the pens.Tomas wrote:Another Jagr's commercial - "The Bed" (incidentally, it aired March 8 )

Re: Jagr to PHI
What kind of milestones are Jagr looking to get? 1800 points? Thats the only thing possible right if he plays one more season?

Great post and agree with everything you said.darkstar57 wrote:i just don't think shero wanted to sign jagr because he didn't think he fit what we needed. if you need a squire you don't get the one of the greatest circle ever to play way past his prime. you get a square.llipgh2 wrote:I think the whole signing circus has destroyed whatever good will the Pens' had left for Jagr.Malkamaniac wrote:Give it three weeks or so. It'll happen. His agent team will leak information about it.
the media and the fan are the ones who made it a circus. Jagr's agent tried to use it to get other teams interested and he failed (i can't fault him for that, if there is media attention on my client i am using it to my advantage to try to leverage a betterdeal, he just sucked at it)
The pens said you will get 2 mil from us and this will be your role on the team . he wasn't interested shero wasn't going to sweeten the pot so we pulled the deal and both went our seperate ways, end of story, fans again make it a media cirus
i do believe that jagr would like to finish is career as a pen, but i really don't see how he fits into the line esp if you want to move staal into the top 6

Agent says Jagr, Flyers working on new contract

What hampered Jagr this past year were multiple nagging groin and leg injuries. He suffered an unannounced left quad pull against Pittsburgh that was so bad it was hemorrhaging prior to the series against the New Jersey Devils, even though he played every game.
Even then, Jagr continued to work out during off days when coach Peter Laviolette asked players to stay off the ice. Svoboda said he believes Jagr will be a smarter and more physically fit player next season with the Flyers “if” he cuts back on his training.
Jagr was simply obsessed with training this year. While he was a role model for the Flyers, his use of 20-pound weights during the second round of the playoffs with a thigh injury wasn’t smart. It was actually counterproductive.
“Jaromir hasn’t forgotten how he got criticized by the media in Pittsburgh early in his career,” Svoboda said, a reference to Jagr being immature and somewhat lazy as a player in his 20s.
“He feels he needs to prove himself every day, but I agree with you, he needs to cut back in his training.”l

For an athlete, Jagr really is thin skinned if he's still bothered by it.

Re: Jagr to PHI
@euroflyers: Jagr says it's premature to talk about where he'll play next season. Expects decisions to be made after draft.

So one says they're working on a contract. The other says it's premature. So which is it?Lesky wrote:@euroflyers: Jagr says it's premature to talk about where he'll play next season. Expects decisions to be made after draft.

Al Alven (a Flyers writer) said on Facebook that Jagr has agreed on a one-year deal with the Flyers for 3 million.

Sounds like same old Jagr to me.DarrenDreger
Jaromir Jagr enjoyed Phildadelphia, but plans on testing free agency. Also plans to change training to shed some lbs and get faster.

He's a mercenary. He should just come right out and say "I'm in it for the money." I'd have more respect for him if he did.Sarcastic wrote:He's a headcase.Malkamaniac wrote:Sounds like same old Jagr to me.DarrenDreger
