Jagr to Dallas

Post by newarenanow »

Please delete if I misheard this, but did they really just say on the FAN intro from comercial that the Pens are talking to Jagr again to bring him back.

Or did they say Philly was talking to him to bring him back another year.

I was talking to someone and just heard part of it in the background. Just looking for clarification.

I think they said Philly, but the guy I was talking to said Pgh, but he wasn't sure.

It's on PuckDaddy too, it's the Flyers. Good go ahead and sign him for I believe this will be the year that his legs/groin totally fail him and he quits early.

I'd rather bring back MacEntire or Godard to play in the top 6 than Jagr.

Flyers will have to limit his ice time because he didn't look good in the end. Maybe that was his damn groin again, but I doubt it.

Is this June 2011?

Even if Jagr wanted to play here for free I wouldn't have him on my roster.

Enjoy him Philly.

Agent says Jagr, Flyers working on new contract

http://www.csnphilly.com/hockey-philade ... um=referra" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
What hampered Jagr this past year were multiple nagging groin and leg injuries. He suffered an unannounced left quad pull against Pittsburgh that was so bad it was hemorrhaging prior to the series against the New Jersey Devils, even though he played every game.

Even then, Jagr continued to work out during off days when coach Peter Laviolette asked players to stay off the ice. Svoboda said he believes Jagr will be a smarter and more physically fit player next season with the Flyers “if” he cuts back on his training.

Jagr was simply obsessed with training this year. While he was a role model for the Flyers, his use of 20-pound weights during the second round of the playoffs with a thigh injury wasn’t smart. It was actually counterproductive.

“Jaromir hasn’t forgotten how he got criticized by the media in Pittsburgh early in his career,” Svoboda said, a reference to Jagr being immature and somewhat lazy as a player in his 20s.

“He feels he needs to prove himself every day, but I agree with you, he needs to cut back in his training.”l

The sad thing about Jagr is still the fact he thinks we all hate him. One would think the fact that every time there is a chance he could come back to Pittsburgh the fans go crazy would perhaps change his mind about Pittsburgh. Alas, Jagr continues to prove time and time again that he is one strange dude.
