Wow. Just watched yesterdays episode. Amazed. I was glued - some incredibly tense moments and incredible swings of battle.

They actually showed a battle for a change, and not just a battle, a siege.

I don't need close-ups of severed limbs and fountains of blood to know its war. I don't mind violence, but some scenes seemed straight out of a bad splatter movie.

easily the best episode of the season, it's quite refreshing to get a storyline that last more than 5 minutes, amazing how much emotionally more involved you get.

Then you will love A Feast for Crows then when they split the stroy into two and you only get Kings Landing and the Wall :)

Spoiler:
No Strong Belwas? Or will he be the next episode so technically season 2?
And if they are splitting Strom of Swords into two seasons, which would allow for better pacing and more in depth episodes like Blackwater, I would understand why Red Viper would be in Season 3. So much happens in SoS that they would have to do 2 seasons to give it the respect it deserves.

As excited as I am to see that list, it is also a bit scary to imagine adding that many characters. Hopefully they find a better pacing to the storylines going forward or theyvare going to lose a lot of non readers.

Most of them are supporting characters but there is one thing to keep in mind:
Spoiler:
Lots of people die in Strom of Swords. Lots.

Anyone else kind of wish the way the Harrnhall events went in TV was how it played out in Clash of Kings? Tywin and Arya's seens together have been some of the best this season. The mess that was Arya's journey from Kingslanding and eventually finding her way to Harrenhal would have been so much worse on TV and could have ended up like Jon Snow which they are butchering.

The last sentence of the article says there will be a few others.

A lot of book fans will be excited to see the Reeds. I've read posts on a GoT message board, and they couldn't stop talking about the absence of them this season.

I haven’t really been watching the TV show much because I prefer the books and my own imagination’s interpretation of the characters. I also don’t like some of the changes they made from book to TV. But I actually wouldn’t mind if they give Olenna Redwyne (Grandma Tyrell, basically) more air time in the show. The Queen of Thorns is a great character.

Yeah I'm glad she will be on the show. I was beginning to wonder if they were just going to drop her from the show. The reason I thought that was because it seemed they were making Margaery Tyrell more independent on the show.

BF3 style:

Bronn[Wildfire]Sailor1
Bronn[Wildfire]Sailor2
Bronn[Wildfire]Sailor3
Suppression Assist 50
Kill Assist 91
Bronn[Wildfire]Matthos_Seaworth

...etc

Stannis would call him a haxxor, too.

Cersei's/Lena Headey's acting was on another level in the Blackwater episode. I've watched it several times now, and I can't stop enjoying her performance.

PERFECT acting in that episode in relation to the book. Her attitude in the red keep was EXACTLY how it is described in the novel. Very well done. She nailed the, "I've resigned myself to being raped and/or killed so might as well get hammered and speak my mind" attitude.

Enjoyed this finale more than last season's
Spoiler:
1. We got the longest episode of the season, whereas last season, the finale was the shortest
2. Although most of the changes to the Danaerys storyline seemed odd, it was enjoyable nonetheless to see the Dragons toast the warlock
3. Interesting end for Dorreah... iirc, in the books she died along the way in the Red Waste. Obviously Xavos won't be making any future appearances now.
4. There were more White Walkers in that ending sequence than there were zombies in a lot of the episodes of The Walking Dead last season :scared:
5. Didn't really dawn on me at first earlier in the season, but obviously they changed Jeyne Westerling's name... I guess to potentially avoid confusion with Jeyne Poole?
6. Not surprised that they left Tyrion's nose in tact... can't imagine how much of a pain it would have been to film him w half a nose in future seasons
7. Sucks that we'll probably have to wait another year+ for Season 3

last night was great. Was hoping for a little more in the house of undying, kinda skimped on the rooms. I'm torn on the season, the last 2 episodes were really excellent, not sure if it makes up for the average season. Seems like you could probably watch episodes 1, 8, 9, 10 and get to the next season. Hopefully the 3rd season continues with the last 2 ep. greatness.
