So glad Phoenix is out. Whining, diving, dirtbag players. Lost a lot of respect for Tippett watching this series.

The same could easily be said about LA. I don't think they're any better. Put them down 3-1 in a series and you would have seen some bad stuff.llipgh2 wrote:So glad Phoenix is out. Whining, diving, dirtbag players. Lost a lot of respect for Tippett watching this series.

I think the same could be said for almost any team. Desperate times call for desperate measures.shmenguin wrote:The same could easily be said about LA. I don't think they're any better. Doan/Hanzal/Smith three guys crying about Browns hit on Rosival when they've all made and done stupid things the entire series. Seeing them butthurt couldn't have made me any happier last night.

If the Devils come out of the East, I would be ok with either team winning. If the Rangers win, I want LA to humilate them.newarenanow wrote:Congrats to the Kings. I'll be rooting for them to win it all!

That is what bothers me so much. Doan and Hanzal lecturing Brown in the handshake line. Because they are such stalwarts of clean play.

If the Devils won, I wouldn't be too upset. I agree with you though about the Rangers. The ONLY reason I'd be anyway happy if the Rangers won is to see Marc Staal win the Cup. It would be nice to have the 3 Staal brothers in the NHL all have a Cup.llipgh2 wrote:If the Devils come out of the East, I would be ok with either team winning. The two reasons I want to see the Kings win it are:
1) I love seeing new teams win championships. Kings never won one.
2) It would just be amazing to see them finish off what they started. Beating the 1,2, and 3 seeds in the West and then go onto win the Cup.

Pretty much Hanzal and Doan stopping the line to give the business to Brown about the hit. Richards was behind Brown pushing brown through the line after Hanzal had his words with him.newarenanow wrote:I fell asleep after the 3rd. Wow. That is pretty classless IMO. The line is not the time to do that.Malkamaniac wrote: Pretty much Hanzal and Doan stopping the line to give the business to Brown about the hit. Richards was behind Brown pushing brown through the line after Hanzal had his words with him.
Especially after some of the stuff they did during the past series.

Can't wait for Kris Draper's "official handshake judge" response.

the devils have been classy all the way. i wouldn't mind at all if they won the cup.newarenanow wrote:I think the same could be said for almost any team. Exactly. Pot meet kettle pretty much the entire way. It's basically cemented in my mind that Doan is a punk and I hope he never leaves Phoenix.newarenanow wrote:Wow. That is pretty classless IMO. Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
LMAO at hockey this morning, talking about how Doaner was so classy because he mentioned it a little bit but then gave LA all the credit in the world. Like it was Brown's fault that something that happens all the time that, yeah, SHOULD have been a penalty, didn't get called. Shake hands and get over it.
Then Mike Smith took the "Middle Road," not the low road when he talked about how the refs gave the Coyotes the shaft all season, not just yesterday. But then he gave the Kings credit. That was kind of embarrassing actually.

Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
I've watched that replay over and over, and I dont see how anyone can not see Brown getting him in the shoulder first. It was a weird series for me where I felt like I was rooting for whoever had the lead. I didnt care who won. The only negative for me with LA is Richards, but as many have said the LOL @ Philly if they won would more than overcome that. And I can't believe Im actually starting to like NJ. They've always been my least hated division rival and the only reason I hated them was for boring hockey. Always liked Marty, Parise is one of my favorte players along with Zaijac. And dare I say Kovalchuk aint that bad either.

Mike smith: "When Brown gets away with something like that after the whistle — knee on knee, that's a dangerous play. If Raffi Torres gets 25 games for his hit during the play, this guy should be done forever."
