Did they mention anything about the Bock beer?
That was fave, but it seems like they've stopped producing it.
They did, in fact. Evidently, it's their seasonal spring beer.
Ahah....I'll hit my local bottle shop this week. They should have it.
Thanks!

I drink cheap beer quite often. Natty Boh, which is like Baltimore's PBR, is one of my most frequent purchases. It's like $14 a case. And I'll drink miller light, or bud light.

But when I want to enjoy beer, and not just drink beer, I'll spend a bit more on the good stuff.

Sam Adams Light is probably my favorite light beer. Yuengling Light is good too.

I know from my experience, my taste matured. I wandered into a bottle shop one day and started trying things and opened up a whole new world of flavors. It's not about getting the job done as much as it's about enjoying the beer.

If you like hefewizens, either the sierra Nevada or flying dog hefe is a good choice. If you haven't really tried hefes, either would be a good start. If you have tried hefes and don't like them, then you have lousy taste, and I can't help you... :slug:

A bottle of cheap vodka is much faster and probably tastes better.

Pilsner urquell.
I like beer in cans in the summer. I feel like they get warm slower because the light doesn't hit the beer, plus if you're into camping or canoeing or other outdoor stuff, its easy to 'pack out' crushed cans than empty bottles. Sly Fox has a very nice Pils, 21st Amendment has a good black lager, and Oskar Blues has a really excellent sampler with 4(x6) varieties.

I like Shock Top for when I'm really hot after just doing yard work or something. Sierra Nevada is probably my go to summer beer otherwise. Blue Moon is okay, just in small doses.

Light, almost water-like color upon pouring. Albino head that lasted about five seconds. Gag-producing taste when swirled around the mouth.
C'mon, I bet we could get 55 pages.

if were going straight into summer bevs, bohemia is my favorite "drink a bunch of them" beer. anchor steam, hoegaarden, leinenkugels are in my repertoire as well. most of the time, though, its PBR. #merka

PBR is like the nectar of the gods, compared to Busch.

Canaan your posts are not as nearly as fun to read as what you inputed in the (Ulu saga).

If i was drinking for taste, i would drink a pepsi, if i am drinking for relaxing i have no preference, no beer was ever that much better to me. Not 18, i am 39 and still see no need to switch to a more socially acceptable beer. I went to a brewery in Wexford?? i think it was and tried like 7 or 8 different beers, none were like WOW this is great beer. It was always just beer to me. I used to drink mixed drinks, rum and coke and gin and tonic but that grew old. I went back to good ol beer and just can't taste a great difference between any 2 of them. Beer is better for relaxing you can't get drunk to fast off beer much easier to judge yourself and stay incontrol with beer. Mixed drinks

For those looking for good summer/hot weather beers, I would recommend giving saisons a try. We have one of the better saisons I've had available locally (Hennepin from Ommegang) at most decent bottle shops. I had the Brooklyn Sorachi Ace saison last night, and I thought it had the potential to be a great summer beer (better summer beer than example of the saison style to be honest). Generally, they have a nice dry finish, lots of carbonation. If you don't mind, or better yet enjoy, the funkiness of the belgian yeasts used, they are an awesome alternative to summer beers whether wheats, pilsners, or not-so-hoppy ipas.

Lancaster's Kolsch comes in cans and makes a nice beer for hot weather as well. It's available May to September, so it should be on the shelves now. I picked up a case last year and found it quite enjoyable. At 4.8% ABV, it makes a nice session beer as well.
