World Championships 2012

Post by André »

That time of year again. One shouldn't care and really doesn't anymore these last few years, but then again it is kind of fun =)

Official site:

http://www.iihf.com/channels-12/iihf-wo ... /home.html

Anyone with a site with the rosters so far? Can't find a good overview anywhere.

Here's someone's line up suggestion for Team Canada. Just go give you the roster. The runaway favourites I'd say.

Seriously now, things are looking interesting! Lots of quality NHLers joining their national squad. We could get a mini olympics.

You will probably be able to find that info here in a couple of days:
http://www.iihf.com/channels-12/iihf-wo ... /home.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But I bet that European hockey countries will broadcast the vast majority of meaningful games. In addition, Europeans are usually offered to buy a pass for streaming all games (+watching archived games) for I believe something like $30 total. Last several years, USA fans were excluded from this deal (but I believe the meaningful games were broadcast on Versus? ).

Naturally, there is always http://forum.wiziwig.eu/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... :)

He'll be passed over because he sucks.

My suggested lineup for team Sweden. The below players are all officially in.

Looking very good. Actually excited about the tournament for the first time since...well, since 98 basically =) (altough last year's run with that very young team was fun to watch).

Alfredsson - Zetterberg - Franzén
Landeskog – L. Eriksson - Stålberg
Järnkrok – J. Larsson – Silfverberg
Persson - Kruger - Lundqvist

Pettersson

N. Kronwall – Hjalmarsson
Karlsson – Hedman
Ekholm – S. Kronwall

J. Ericsson, Fernholm, Frogren

Viktor Fasth
Jhonas Enroth

Former Pens draft pick Alexandre Rouleau plays at the WCs for France, if I'm not mistaken.
