Jaromir Jagr ‏ @68Jagr

Bryz is scared of bears. There were like 70 bears at the game! I wonder what would happen if he said he is scared of beautiful naked girls?!

Maybe people should go to the game dressed as the things that scare Jagr, like two cards that add up to 16 or two dice with the "1" side showing.

I can't believe that stupid comment made it all the way through normal human filtering devices and onto a twitter account. You'd think somewhere between thinking it up, determining to put it on twitter, and then typing it out that something in your head would indicate to you that you sound like an idiot and to not do that.

This thread needs to die.

And Matt Cooke needs to go back to the old Cooke for 1 shift and take a run at Jagr.

"I played there for a long time. I wanted to beat them because we were playing them," said Jagr, who finished with seven points, including five on the power play. "I wanted to beat them because they're a pretty good team, and it gave us a chance to play in the next round. It's nothing personal. Once you take things personal, it's not good."

Somebody posted this question on another board.

Had Jagr not went to Russia for 3 seasons and didn't lose 1.5 seasons to the lockout, would he be sitting at 800 goals right now? Possibly near 2000 points? I'm thinking yes.

His current stats: 1346GP-665G-988A-1653P

Jagr was scoring at a .66 GPG during the 94-95 lockout, which would have put him at 54.12 goals for the season, or an additional 22 goals. Not out of the question to think he could have averaged 30 goals a season (estimating between 27-33) between 2008-11 along with possibly averaging a 35 goal season, had they played in 2004-05.

30+30+30+35+22+665 = 812 goals

2000 pts - 812 goals = 1188 assists needed. Jagr already has 988.
Jagr's 94-95 season of 38 assists in 48 games projected to 64.91 assists, or for the sake of rounding, 65 assists.
988+27=1015 assists.
He would then need 173 assists in 4 seasons, or about 43.25 each season. Although his assist totals dropped while in DC, he went from totals in the low 40s to the upper 60s with the Rangers.

I don't think he'd be at 2000 points if he stayed in the NHL, but he'd be very, very close.
