Not Fan related but Scott Paulsen's "Flyers Scum" song is awful. His commentary is okay on the DVE show but his songs got old in 1995. Time to hang up the guitar.

Did he do a new version of the Flyers Scum song? I know that he did one back in the day.

Anything Scott Paulsen has done on the new DVE morning show has been terrible.

Just thought of a cool concept (at least I think so)

Name YOUR Pittsburgh radio Dream Team Lineup. You control it / can bring in whoever you want

6-10: Let's go Stan and Guy to kick it off. I don't need a bunch of guys trying to be funny

10-2: Vinnie and Cooke. IDC I enjoy this show

2-6: Miller and Muller. I think it'd be a good combo

6-10: Dejan

10 - 2: This is when I'd do a seasonal / rotation thing. A single Pittsburgh team specific show depending on what's currently the most newsworthy

Example - When Pitt is playing in MM / BE tourny.. let's have a Julius Page Show
Now that Pens are in playoffs, let's have a Bob Grove / ole' 29er show
Steelers playoffs? Tunch and Wolf
You get the point

6-10: Stan and Guy (Those two have the best chemistry ever)

10-2: John Steigerwald, Ken Laird and Dejan K. (The Dynamic of old school hate and new school ignorance sprinkled in with one of the Best hockey and baseball minds in the city)

2-5: Mark Madden (Without the Music)

5-9: Chris Muller and Filiponi (Those two are actually hilarious together)

9-1: Chris Mack and Eddy Crow (I always enjoyed those two together)

Also, leave it up to the hosts as to what they want to do. And... no more phone calls! I would make it so that station management informed each host that you can talk about whatever the hell you want anytime but the only times you can take calls from the fans is on Fridays (Open phone Friday)

I accidentally turned on The Fan this morning since I was skimming presets on the way to work. Not even 5 seconds in, and all I hear is how classless and gutless this team is. Another 5 seconds later, I had to turn it off.

It's true though. At least when we play Philly.

Power outage that blew out some boards and knocked a few stations off the air.

interrupts often

It's a shame they couldn't contain it to Cook and Filajabroni's mic.

I know DVE doesn't really fall into the realm of the sports shows in Pittsburgh but have any of you guys listened to Bill Crawford along side Randy, Val and Mike on the morning show?

Like, is he just a total idiot or is at an act? Seriously starting to wonder because this guy seems so over the top stupid to me that i can hardly fathom it.

I don't know if Josh Miller is responsible for potting his own mic up, or if it's the producer, but no talk show host anywhere starts a sentence without his mic live as much as he does.

He's endeared himself to me by self deprecating humor, I didn't like him for awhile. That being said, he frequently zones out and isn't all there particularly during the 5-6 hour.
