Pretty sure those are just goofs on THE Ohio State University. At least that's how I take it.canaan wrote:thats not entirely true. i've heard it said a bunch lately, just not as much as tOSU. "THE university of southern california" "THE louisiana state university" have all come up in the nfl playoffs this year alone.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:Because no one else says it that way?MRandall25 wrote:They teach ALL students "THE Ohio State" day one. Why don't you complain when anyone else says "THE University of blah blah blah"?

i know that a lot of ohio state fans find it as an insult when other schools are referred to as "The blah blah university" but there are a good number of schools that "The" is actually in the official name of the school. Penn State is one of those.

And THE University of Pennsylvania. Which I'm pretty sure was THE before OSU existed. Sure, they don't put many players in the NFL...

I hate it when people leave me a voicemail just saying to call them back. I saw that you called, I missed it, so I will call you back. No need to make me listen to my voicemail. And I hate that stupid voicemail icon on my screen.

If someone calls me and doesn't leave a voicemail, I won't call them back. So I rather they leave me a message that at least somewhat explains what they want.cheesesteakwithegg wrote:I hate it when people leave me a voicemail just saying to call them back. Something really bugs me about people who wear shorts all of the time. You know the ones; the guys who are wearing shorts and boots in the middle of January when it’s below freezing.

I'll wear shorts unless it's like below zero outside. Even if it is and I'm just going a short distance I'd much rather put on a pair of shorts than a pair of jeans.

I just realized that I'm sitting here right now, with a pair of shorts a long sleeved BARBRI t-shirt and a Black San Jose Sharks Sweatshirt on.
I'm sure if Shyster were to see me, the first thing he's do is reach for his gun.

Baggers at grocery stores that have no clue. I put like items together on the belt so that they are bagged together, so when the bagger mixes everything up, it drives me nuts. Also drives me crazy when they put too much stuff on one bag, thus causing the bag to rip.
Whenever I have the chance (i.e. if there is no bagger in my line), I bag the groceries myself (Never been a cashier, but I am sure that they appreciate it). Good baggers are under appreciated, IMO. They also get promoted to cashier faster, so their excellence in bagging is usually short lived

People who use the phrase, "I'm on record...", especially on the internet, and especially related to something that doesn't really matter.
