Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Random note: RTBG also told me that they're trying to get a couple more palates of Old Peculier shipped into PA. That's one of my top faves, and apparently it's only imported to the US twice a year and is selling like mad.

Summit Brewing Company's Winter Ale = solid.
Harpoon Winter Warmer - Might be one of the worst beers I've ever had. Absolutely disgusting.

LOL! Not yet, I'm highly poor . If I get the job, I should have just enough for 1 month's rent, a plane trip there, and 100 bucks for food.columbia wrote:Have you bought warmer socks yet?Physical_Graffiti wrote:A lot of potentially good news, but nothing's concrete yet.MWB wrote:Something good?Physical_Graffiti wrote:Drinking Canadian tonight.
There's no public transportation in that city.

So far, the Old Thumper Double Ale is pretty good. ESB class, strong whisky start, malty finish that evens the feel out. Fairly complex. 11.2%. Shwerv.

Andygator is not my thing. The fruit/hops/bitter mix isn't working.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Does anybody know if giant eagle sells beer before noon on Sundays? I just realized that I only have 3 old coronas to get me through the pens' game and the super bowl I do, however, have some errands that will take me by a giant eagle market district tomorrow morning.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Tried a few new ones tonight:
Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald (porter): One of the greatest beers I have ever tasted, and most assuredly the greatest porter I've ever had. I cannot recommend this beer enough.
Southern Tier 2x Stout: Pretty decent, I enjoy milk stouts and it didn't disappoint.
Anchor Steam Ale: Solid as always.

Been awhile since I've had the Great Lakes porter, but I recall liking it as well. Having Sam Smiths now.
Had Endless River kolsch last night, and that sucked.
Staggy, what did you go with?

After drinking it I went on beeradvocate, and it was reviewed horribly, so I felt better about my personal taste.shmenguin wrote:heh. this is the first i've heard of someone not loving this beer. not just "liking", but loving.shafnutz05 wrote:Harpoon Winter Warmer - Might be one of the worst beers I've ever had. Harpoon seems to be pretty inconsistent.

Giant Eagle might have it, but I am admittedly not familiar with their selection.stopper40 wrote:Figures There's not one within 2 hours of me
I love Wegman's because I would never buy a case of most of this stuff. I love craft beers, but I never want a case's worth.

A friend of mine who bartends had me try some of the Bud Light Platinum yesterday. I mean, it's Bud Light... so it sucked.
