I'm looking at league leaders and there is one dude who stands out: Erik Karlsson. 45 points in 48 games as a defenseman. Is he that good? I don't watch Senators games, so I really don't know.

I dunno if he's that good defensively but he is very good offensively. He could be like Dustin Byfuglien or Mike Green who are great offensively, but defensively they struggle. Would need someone elses opinion on his defense that watches him more.

He's improved big time in his own zone. I don't think Mike Green cares about defense. At least based upon last year to this year, it seems that Karlsson wants to be a competent defender. I wonder if Gonchar has something to do with that. Karlsson's hockey IQ seems off the charts to me.

I'm just pissed that the BOS feed cut away from his slamming his stick on the top of the goal.

They obviously can afford to get into a bidding war.
What's another draft pick, when you are gunning for a 2nd straight SCF.

...always the first team mentioned it has seemed to me. Hopefully, Don Waddell hasn't been scouting him for the Pens.
