I just watched him play yesterday in Charlotte for the Grand Rapids Griffins. Yep, no loss there.

Also, after seeing him in action, I'm pretty pleased Shero stayed out of the Fabian Brunnstrom sweepstakes a couple years ago.

D Mike Green, who has appeared in only 10 games this season because of various injuries, will undergo abdominal surgery and miss 4-6 weeks, the Washington Post reported. Green, 26, was placed on the long-term injured list last week. He missed 23 games this season with a strained groin muscle. He returned to the lineup earlier this month but injured his groin again in his third game after his return and was sidelined again. Green has suffered from shoulder, knee, hip and head injuries over the last two seasons and has played in only 12 of the Capitals' last 72 games dating to Feb. 8, 2011.

Well, he's played in more games than Sid, so unless you are drawing the same comparison...

I can't think of any even medium profile athletes who have reached Dipietro levels.
