I thought it got to 3-2 and 5-3, but I wasn't following it too closely. Either way, they need to do something about it. Kinda sad when I go to games (to see the other team, obviously) and see maybe 9000 people there.

I was a bit surprised to read that R. Nash had scored for Carolina.

(later changed to an assist)

Is it me or are Laich and Chimera Caps' 2 best players this year? I am doing this without even looking at team stats, just that they seem to be most involved and most wanting whenever I put their games on.

He's realizing this now? I did about 2 years ago. We'll see how it goes.

Ovechkin altering game, starting to see results
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=607930

Ovechkin admitted Friday morning that he has finally come to the realization that he had better alter some of the things he used to do that worked, such as taking the puck from the top of the left circle into the middle and shooting through a defenseman, sometimes even two.

The defensemen are standing him up now, so Ovechkin has changed his attack.

Instead of cutting to the middle, he'll stop at the half-wall and wait for trailers. If he doesn't want to stop or if he feels the trailers are covered, he'll try to take the puck wide and deep to create offense from below the goal line.

Its the CLaW line. Chimera - Laich - Ward has been incredible. They just control the puck like crazy on teams. Imo, the best third line in hockey currently. They switched things up today though, with Laich playing with Semin and Ward and Chimera each seeing shifts with Ovie.

This makes his 9mil a season look stupid now. Crosby has almost 50% of his point total this season - that says it all.

I's going to be hard to find another guy with the initials GM to be the GM. They should just stay the course.

My personal opinion is there there is too much meddling from ownership for any GM to be overly successful.

He's the one that keeps drafting the Charmin all-stars....eventually Teddy's gaze will have to turn to GMGM.

Still though, you see the head coach fired because the team (more importantly, the captain) quit on him (that can be argued), but the GM says no change in captaincy?

I think GMGM was the problem all along, not Boudreau.

Ah, but maybe he'll first realize that his caged bird can't sing because it doesn't know which road to take.
