I heard his into into this topic. It was pretty amazing, he seemed to imply that Steeler fans have been clamoring to acquire Hillis...I've never heard anyone say the Steelers should acquire Hillis.
Did you get a chance to hear any of that simulcast with the Fan in Cleveland. It was pretty amazing (in a comically terrible and embarassing for those people kind of way). The Cleveland host was complaining about what he called "fake Steeler fans". Which seem to be people from Northeast Ohio and Northwest PA who say they are steeler fans but don't know anything about the Steelers (or probably the NFL for that reason). This guy was actually getting people from Cleveland to call in and complain about these "fake" steeler fans and Filiponi was left to defend the "fake" steeler fans. Filiponi was actually entertaining this guys complaints.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
I really find it kind of annoying how LGP is just a HATES EVERYONE IN SPORTS MEDIA msg board, and normally I never jump on this bandwagon... That being said, Filliponi is the worst I've ever heard
How does this guy have a job? I'm sure they have same way of judging how the public feels about him, and I have never heard of 1 person that can stand him.
I'm not a fan of Benz, Rossi, Morning Show, and others but I can understand how some people like them / the little "niche" they might fill so I understand their employment. Filliponi is just so ridiculously bad, its amazing he's on the air

He's so bad I'm tempted to write them an e-mail in which I nicely / professionally ask why he's on the air (so it doesn't just become auto-delete).. I'm sure it'll just be auto-deleted anyways lol

So what you are saying is that you are part of the problem and not part of the solution?

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
In terms of Pittsburgh Sports Personalities.
I dislike:
Seibel, Alexander, Potash, Chris Mack, Gianottie, Benz, Pompaduch And of course pieces of **** like Fedko, Oxenreiter, and Edmund Nelson.
I like:
Colony, Madden, Rob King, Laird, Starkey, Linelli (970 guy, not sure how to spell), Caufield, Errey.
Ian Moran, do you really expect people to come on here and talk about the personalities they like?
I REALLY ENJOYED COLONY ON THE MORNING SHOW TODAY HE HAD SOME GREAT COMMENTARY AND INSIGHT ON LAST NIGHT'S GAME!!
Just because this thread is devoted to complaining about the fan doesn't mean we hate everyone.

THIS MORNING SHOW WAS AAWESOME. THEY HAD A WHITE GUY READ AN OVER THE TOP GHETTO ATHLETE. THEY TALKED ABOUT THE OTHER WHITE GUYS CELEBRITY RUN INS, AND EVERYONE MADE FUN OF THE OTHER WHITE GUY.
It's almost to the point where they think the people in Pittsburgh are stupid and this is what they want in a morning show.

No talk show host in the world misunderstands what his callers are saying more often than Filjabroni does.DudeMan2766 wrote:Filaponi is overrated simply by getting a pay check for what he doesKennyTheKangaroo wrote:philaponis topic last night: Is payton hillis overrated because he is white?

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
Savran is just so much better than Vinnie/Cook. I'd rather listen to Cook solo. Today Richichi was arguing that field condition at Candlestick is a topic of concern for players.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
Savran and Pompeani seem like the same person to me sometimes. Because of that inability to differentiate the two, I dislike Savran a good bit....they act like they're authorities on every subject. They're basically just John Steigerwald with less ridiculous opinions on things.

I find myself laughing at Pompeani on twitter because he makes borderline "Pittsburgh is the end all be all in sports" tweets. They make me smile.

I'd rather they lost their voice and limbs so they could never talk or write sports again... but that's just me.jimjom wrote:Savran is just so much better than Vinnie/Cook. edit: Vinnie and Cook, not Stan. Stan isn't always super interesting, but he's infinitely better than most of the people around here.

I read first couple pages and it was legit talk of what people liked and didn't
Didn't get memo that it was instead "Why I hate Pittsburgh Sports Media Thread"
A lot of other discussions on this board have people taking negatively and positively about subjects

I'm surprised they aren't talking about how tough Ben is compared to Tom Brady

I'd bet a significant amount of $ it'll be discussed at some point today how Manning / Brady wouldn't have come back

Siebel is now the ace concussion expert on the fan. To refresh your memory he suffered a concussion doing Warrior Dash over the summer. He was out a couple months.

Wait a second, we're not supposed to complain, right?
