Did anyone listen to Clark / Filiponi last night? The Machine was talking the show up big time, saying how Clark is going to have a lot to say.

No but I did hear Tim Benz talk about the "greatness" that is former Johnstown Chiefs/current Tampa Bay Lightning radio announcer Dave Mishkin.

chris seems to have had a tough time with this, hes getting pretty heated on air on a regular basis. kenny the kangaroo feels for the guy and does not think mueller is grandstanding or anything like that.

Mueller show last night was phenomenal, definitely showing a lot of passion. Even though he's a PSU alum, he's stated numerous times, even prior to this, that he could never get into the deifying of JoePa.KennyTheKangaroo wrote:chris seems to have had a tough time with this, hes getting pretty heated on air on a regular basis. kenny the kangaroo feels for the guy and does not think mueller is grandstanding or anything like that.
Best part: his rant on the female caller from PSU "Abby".

I plan on watching on YouTube so I can judge the Judge Mathis show. I plan on not being favorable to MattKennyTheKangaroo wrote:any thoughts on matt from shaler being on judge mathis?
I know it's probably just schtick, but I can't stand his calls. Mueller is by far their best host and I always try catch the late shift while working. His show doesn't need the Ed in Bloomfields. I would rather he took no calls unless it's Seth or Dejan or even Stoosh or the Pirates blogger guys. I wish one GD program director would realize that when you have on-air talent, you don need a parade of drunk idiots as "entertainment."

Lily>Matt from shaler
and that is saying something
muellers callers aren't all bad. breadman is good when he calls, steve from finleyville is good no matter who he calls, and he calls EVERYONE including grover, david todd after pirate games, muller etc. al. the other day kenny the kangaroo heard sarcastic sword on 970 and shocked that he wasn't dead. that guy has been around for like 20 years.

Chris Mack is campaigning to get on the air for 93.7. At this point I would take him over Philliponi; actually I'd prefer dead air over Philliponi.

I can't even listen to Philliponis voice anymore...I love the concept of an all local all sports talk fm radio station, but Poni has to be the worst talker in town.

Philliponi always takes the lowest hanging fruit and makes it into a terribly annoying topic.
Out of curiosity, do any other lgp.com members ever call teh fan or 970 or madden or anything?

Probably because everyone hates his guts, and that gets people talking about him and his show, which is what they want.canaan wrote:why does the 93.7 staff love fillaponi so much?viva la ben wrote:Chris Mack is campaigning to get on the air for 93.7. Chris Mack-Filliponi is a toss up for me. I intensely dislike both and their voices are like nails on a chalkboard.
Speaking of 1250 what is Eddie Crowe doing these days? Just curious, I thought he was awful too. Mike Logan is coaching youth football somewhere.

What has to happen for Matt Williamson to have a reguralely scheduled appearance on one of the sports talk stations. I feel like the only time I ever read or hear anything insightful about football, and actually learn something is when he talks.

If Chris Mack makes it on the air at 93.7 I'll send them an e-mail every day telling him to be fired.
