Does Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, or Bobby Ryan know what one is? Cause so far this season they have combined for 33 points in 20 games. Blargh.Gaucho wrote:Do Ducks' fans know what a goal is?

It's a big lol to anyone who drafted Perry in the first round in fantasy.

Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
Yeah I expected him to a point per game, decent +/-, 100 PIMs, lots of shots and half production on the PP type of guy. In other words pretty much a monster in all categories but nope. I don't have him but in my one league I did draft Bobby Ryan in the first round. He's no longer on my team. So disappointing.meecrofilm wrote:It's a big lol to anyone who drafted Perry in the first round in fantasy.

Meh, if you are in a head to head league, your goal is just to make the playoffs and have the best team for three weeks once you get there. I'll gladly take your Corey Perry or Bobby Ryan for my Jamie Benn or Max Pacioretty or whichever other flavor of the week.

He took my Bobby Ryan, B. Burns, and L. Couture for his Kesler, Phaneuf, and Krejci.Kraftster wrote:Meh, if you are in a head to head league, your goal is just to make the playoffs and have the best team for three weeks once you get there. I like that trade for you.
And perhaps its representative of a strategy that I like to employ which is to sell a guy who others will perceive as a buy low opportunity but get fair value for them. They think that if they are buying low they are getting a good deal even if they pay fair value. Works pretty often, actually.

Yeah I viewed Ryan vs. Kesler as a wash when they both get going but Kesler gets the top PP time with the Sedins and Ryan gets the shaft for Selanne on the Ducks top PP.Kraftster wrote:I like that trade for you.

Burns vs. Phaneuf - I think Burns was at his lowest value and when I got Phaneuf he was at his highest plus he'll contribute in all categories.
Couture vs. Krejci - I really like Couture but he's not the #1 center on his team and Krejci seems to have retaken that spot on the B's. I feel like when I did this trade (about 2 weeks ago) I sold Couture high and bought Krejci low.

The Blues are rockin white jerseys tonight at home.
I note that, because I'm glad they will be playing for the 2nd night in a row tomorrow.

Not a big fan of the repeated use of "Finesse" as a verb, Doc. Call me picky.

According to Pierre LeBrun's tweet this am, Shanny has warned...er....spoken to the GMs for the Bruins and Sabres about tonight's rematch. While he won't be at the game, he told them he will be watching the game.

Its ok because they are Boston. The entire universe is scared of Lucic and Chara so they can do anything they want.llipgh2 wrote:According to Pierre LeBrun's tweet this am, Shanny has warned...er....spoken to the GMs for the Bruins and Sabres about tonight's rematch. Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
Thomas strays from his crease quite a bit. All they have to do is run him while he's out of the crease and Shanny has already set the precedent that running a goalie outside of the crease is acceptable. If I were Ruff, I'd be licking my chops because Shanahan is in a position where he's the only one who can look bad here IF they decide to take it out on Timmy.SolidSnake wrote:Its ok because they are Boston. Either:
1. They run him and Shanny stays consistent and you have Thomas potentially injured with no punishment - the outrage from Boston will be 1000x that of Buffalo.
or
2. They run Timmy and the player gets punished. Now Shanny has to explain to the public why one player is punished while the other didn't even get a fine.
He put himself in a no win situation here, unless Buffalo decides to take the high ground.

Don't look now but Minnesota got the best record in the league. Yeo working his magic? and not to mention that Jack Edwards is the most annoying piece of crap announcer ever. Even the guys on TSN were annoyed by him.
