Nice to see the Jets inching closer to .500. And the Capitals goal was offsides, but it didn't matter in the end.

According to one of the better RDS writers, Jeff Carter asked Columbus for a trade. Curran denies it, but reported that other GMs confirmed it. Way to give the Columbus things a real chance, Jeff.

If I was Jeff Carter I'd despise getting traded to Columbus too. It really sucks for people like me who own him in money leagues and he isn't doing anything

Seriously, who'd want Carter? A bad team looking for an impact player? Worked great for Columbus... A good team looking for another top scorer? Philly wouldn't have traded him if they thought he'd help them in the playoffs. Me thinks Carter is stuck in Columbus, and Columbus is stuck with Carter.

So are you going to apply that same logic to Richards then? Carter is certainly not as bad as you're making him out to be. He's track record has largely been successful when he was with Philly(up until the play-offs).pcm wrote:Seriously, who'd want Carter? A bad team looking for an impact player? I cannot stand Jeff Skinner...I'm watching the Sabres/Canes game and the dude does nothing but dive and whine. He seriously falls to the ice if someone breaths on him.

Unfortunately for Carter, he was traded from Philly for character issues and now he's asking for a trade. No good team is going to be all aboard on that one. I guess luckily for him, if any team inquires, they are better than Columbus.Malkamaniac wrote:So are you going to apply that same logic to Richards then? Carter is like Nash to me. Neither are terribly relevant in my hockey universe. I know they are both good, but neither do anything to really pull themselves into relevance with me, personally.shmenguin wrote:i was excited that carter was traded out of philly, because he's a guy i want to root for, and whose game i really like (when he's on). but if this is true...bleh

I honestly had to think for a few seconds before I remembered where the Jets played last season.

Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread

Laviolette told them that they'd all have to make up for Jagr's absence, so they decided to all work a little less harder.

Watching Habs/Rangers a bit before the Pens game starts.
My 4 year old daughter: "Daddy, who is playing?"
Me: The Canadiens and the Rangers
Daughter: "Let's Go Reindeers!"
