Watched Hell on Wheels. It was decent. However, my viewing was interuppted by the video feed mysteriously dying halfway through and AMC claiming it no longer existed... then I found Comcrap had it on demand... unfortunately, there was not a super fast forward option, so it took forever to get back to where the online feed left off.

Anyone else watching Vietnam in HD on the history channel. Great show. I really enjoyed WWII in HD. I love learning about past wars. But I will admit, Korea and Vietnam are two I don't know a ton about.

It's amazing though because when I think of the Vietnam war, I picture vets in their 40s, because that is how old they were when I was a kid. And WWII vets in their 60s.

But now, as I get older, I don't know about anyone else, but I kind of forget that people age with me, and when you see them interviewing Vietnam vets and their spouses and they are in their 60s and 70s, it's kind of scary.

I had an (apartment) neighbor, who is a Vietnam Vet.....He's had a tough life and has struggled with multiple substance abuse since returning.
(He got hooked on morphine while he was there.)
A really sad situation.

Always Sunny was good last night.

I'm starting to really like the League, I didn't realize one of the writers used to do Seinfeld. Quality show.

I was skeptical of The League at first, too. I thought that a comedy about fantasy football was a really dumb premise for a show. Then I watched it, and realized it's not at all about fantasy football and I've been hooked since.

Didn't watch The Office or Always Sunny, but I thought that Community and Parks and Rec were both good last night. I think that I am going to give Big Bang Theory a try. It seems that a lot of people like it.

was going to finish the pilot of Hell on Wheels today but I could not get into it. I couldn't get into last night's Burn Notice. I sleptwalked through a Law and ORder UK while doing other things (i.e. not really paying attention). Not a knock on the shows, just could not focus with the sports news mess.

2/3 of the way through the Hell on Wheels pilot. Going good so far, save being interrupted by kids/other events every time I seem inclined to watch it. (Some scenes being clearly inappropriate for kids)

Would have been more awesome if someone hadn't spilled the beans in this thread a couple weeks ago.

Ah well, pulling an arrow out of yourself and using it to kill a zombie was pretty badass in its own right.

Still... the story is progressing way too slow for my liking. I feel like a lot of the farm stuff could have been condensed.

Take that up with Malka. :pop:

I'm ok with the pacing of it now...l like that everyone is unraveling psychologically, in a space that doesn't present too much danger.

The problem is that they wasted probably about an episode's worth of time on slow developing plots which really hurt my enjoyment of some of these episodes. If they can mix enough craziness and action in with the drama, it would be a lot more enjoyable IMO.

walking dead...
Spoiler:
yeah... accidentally read the spoiler a couple weeks ago about the barn. yawn.

i'm not sure where the idea came from that they could kill anyone on the show at any time, but this season has basically torn that idea to shreds.
