I agree with you on Nash; he seems perfectly happy with mediocrity.Kovy27 wrote:2. I don't think Rick Nash is a good captain(Yes, I said it). I would probably throw that C on Umberger and call it a day.

Leafs just look lazy and have no goaltending whatsoever right now.Gaucho wrote:I guess the bloom is off the, uh, Leafs.
Caps-Stars game has been pretty entertaining through 2.

derrick roy acts like he won the superbowl every time something decent happens
i'm feeling some sort of ratio of annoyed-to-appreciative, but i don't know what the exact figures are

Strange beginning in Tampa. I have a feeling this is going to be a memorable game.

I've never seen a team simply refuse to play the puck while the opposing team traps. That actually might be an effective way to beat it.Gaucho wrote:Strange beginning in Tampa. I have a feeling this is going to be a memorable game.

Might beat it, but could lead to some very boring hockey. Gladly the officials aren't allowing it.nocera wrote:I've never seen a team simply refuse to play the puck while the opposing team traps. Doesn't really make sense to me. It's just giving the Lightning offensive zone faceoffs.

I want philly to score first and then sit back and pass the puck back and forth between the D-men, just to see what happens.

I actually agree with the Flyers. I don't think the refs should blow the whistle. Tampa has every opportunity to play the puck they simply choose not to try. Why should the Flyers have to move the puck if there is absolutely no reason to do so?

This is a joke. Flyers aren't moving the puck that's gotta be some kind of delay of game.

I don't think the Flyers care what the game resembles, only if they win.offsides wrote:So the game isn't turned into old time college basketball?sniper wrote:I actually agree with the Flyers. Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
Next year, there will be a Philadelphia Flyers rule where a team must make an attempt to move the puck forward.

Or should I ask: who are they booing?

Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
There should be a rule that you have to actually try to score. Neither team is attempting to when Philly has the puck in their zone and Tampa sits in the neutral zone.
