CBJ & Chris Mason are a disaster. Exit visas are imminent for CBJ management. Mason after the season.

Devils win.
Panthers tie it with 2 min to go on a deflection.

Detroit goes down for the 6th game in a row
6 goals scored
22 goals against
that's a winning formula.

I'm liking Markstrom. Saw him in Rochester last year.
To the shootout we go in Florida.

Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
If you watched the Devils/Flyers game earlier, you should have gotten the impression you are watching two horrible teams. I think Flyers are actually better than what I saw tonight, but I don't see them as a scary playoff team with this lineup. They're sloppy all over. They should have lost in regulation to a horrible Devils team that has absolutely nothing going for them (5 losses in 6 coming in).
I focused on Jagr tonight especially to see if I was too hard on him in the other thread, but I came away with the same conclusion. He doesn't backcheck. He doesn't play defense. He doesn't hit (saw 0 hits tonight yet again). He's really soft. His assist was the result of Devils' bad defense and that goal does not happen against a more competent opponent. Kunitz and Neil are the kind of wingers that I've come to appreciate now more than ever. Jagr looks to me like an aging skill player.
And what kind of nonsense was that on Briere's shootout goal? WTF. Did they have a drunken monkey running things in Toronto tonight?

Jagr... an aging skill player that is scoring a point per game.Sarcastic wrote:If you watched the Devils/Flyers game earlier, you should have gotten the impression you are watching two horrible teams. Anybody else think Briere didn't keep moving the puck forward in the shootout?

It depresses my fantasy team too. Zetterburg is a -4 and has done nothing in 4 games lol.SolidSnake wrote:Red Wings lost 6 in a row

See then if you traded him he would tear it up and if you keep him then your luck he has an off season. It's a no win.Malkamaniac wrote:It depresses my fantasy team too. Zetterburg is a -4 and has done nothing in 4 games lol.SolidSnake wrote:Red Wings lost 6 in a row

The Oil have won 6 in a row.
Thanks to whoever in my fantasy league dumped Khabby. I'm glad I picked him up.

Re: Non-Pens NHL Games Thread
There are other things besides scoring and I don't see Jagr doing any of them. 2 of his goals in one of the previous games would have never gone in if not for the other team's bad D. Last night's assist was also the result of the Devils playing like an ass. I'm telling you, once teams tighten up and find their games, I think Jagr and Flyers will find it more difficult to win games. They would have lost the previous game vs Buffalo if not for Miller basically giving them 3 goals in the first 6 minutes. I also think that Giroux is better than some think and he is the glue holding that line together, not Jagr. Hartnell had 10 points in 5 games coming into last night. Think that will continue? My feeling - and I admit, I may be wrong and I may even change my mind later - is that Flyers are not as formiddable as some make them out to be and that Jagr especially may get eaten in the playoffs when games get even faster and more physical.Pavel Bure wrote:Jagr... an aging skill player that is scoring a point per game.Sarcastic wrote:If you watched the Devils/Flyers game earlier, you should have gotten the impression you are watching two horrible teams. What I think they should do is package Schenn and that bum Voracek and add a more significant winger for Briere.
I don't know how much longer I will keep watching them, but I only missed 1 of their games so far.

Hawks/Tampa 4-4 after two.
Stamkos already has a HT.
This should be a good 3rd period.

Nice play to keep it in for the GWG. He went from the corner to opposite point.
