I think their cream stout is underrated....one of the best beers in their line IMO.Pavel Bure wrote:Tried Sam Adams Cream Stout. Wasn't bad, but wasn't great, dunno what I was expecting.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Upon further research... The Harpoon IPA is pretty solid. Sadly, the UFO is still my least favorite.
I am seriously considering getting a full case of the Belgian Pale Ale. Really dig that stuff. Kinda topsy turvy considering I'm normally more of a wheat beer guy.

And after the one I drank last night, it finally makes sense... the BPA tastes like a hybrid of a wheat beer and an IPA.the wicked child wrote:I am seriously considering getting a full case of the Belgian Pale Ale. Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
So far tonight:
Excellent - Complex, went well with steak/seafood. Was expecting excessive hops, but was not the case
![Image](http://www.theperfectlyhappyman.com/uploads/trappistes-rochefort-6.jpg)
Very good - Very Scottish, stopped short of excessive liquor finish
![Image](http://www.ratebeer.com/beerimages/2012.jpg)
Do not like - much too hoppy for my tastes

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Picked up a Southern Tier variety pack. Currently drinking a Wheat Pale ale. It's decent, but I was hoping for something along the lines of the Harpoon BPA. It's not in that league. It seems kinda weak on both the wheat and hop tastes.
Closest comparison I could give is a non-skunky Lord Chesterfield kinda taste.

Wanted to buy something out of my usual pattern tonight usually when I buy a craft it's via 6 pack. Was between Troegs and my all time favorite Hop Devil but went with the former and not disappoint.Kraftster wrote:Always a wise decision.jimjom wrote:Splurged on a case of Troegenator at $32

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Anyone know any beer distributors in the Pittsburgh with a selection of Founders beers in the inventory? I can get the variety case locally but only like 2 of the 4 beers. Looking specifically for cases of Centennial IPA and Red's Rye PA. What the heck, add Stone's Ruination to the list too

Really liked Victory Moonglow Weizenbock. Definitely the best Victory brew I've had.
Also had Anchor Bock. Tasty one as well.

Most of the rest of their brews involve hop overload, so, I'm not usually a fan.the wicked child wrote:Moonglow is good, not in my top 3 from Victory however.

Unfortunately we don't get clown shoes in PA. I have had their black ipa called hoppy feet and it's very good. A growler of an 8% double ipa(which that appears to be) is awesome though.ExPatriatePen wrote:Bought a growler of this:

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
The Shiner Black is very good. Great flavor, smoov. Would like a bit more carbonation to make the flavor come out a bit more, but solid nonetheless.Eismann wrote:Picked up some Hook and Ladder Backdraft Brown Ale and Shiner Black Lager. Will be trying this weekend.
