joe beninati was on the NHL xm radio yesterday - talking about how deep the Caps are and how the 7 game win streak means stanley cup blah blah blah.

Then he mentioned on the side the schedule makers have been good to the caps. No back to back games yet, and they've played like 3 or 4 teams coming in for a second game in their own back to back situation. They've faced something like 5 backup goalies in their 7 wins, 3 of those games at home.

Wolski just totally took out Alfie with a deliberate elbow to the head.
Not even a 5 minute penalty.

He needs to be suspended.

yeah, and they were badly outplayed by the pens, despite no fleury, no sid, no brooks, and a game malkin probably should have sat.

all that aside, i think its a bit early to anoint the caps as either paper tigers or the real deal.

What was the attendance?
From the shots I saw earlier, I'm guessing 7000.

it still looked like twice the amount of people that some Dallas Stars games had in attendance this year.
