If that's the actual quote, which by the looks of it, it is, then it looks like he tried to correct himself after what he said.

This is like the time Mr. Madden had an interactive hour with folks on the old Trib Live board.

I'm glad to see someone call out Ryan Clark.

He's overrated, whiffs on more tackles than I care to see from a safety and never does anything to create a turnover or make a big play. It is always Polamalu making the dynamic splash plays and you can't have that as you'll see against New England as Brady will abuse the secondary with tight-ends at Farrior and Clark. It isn't always Willie Gay struggling in the 1-on-1 matchups.

Yeah, never. Like the forced fumble of Ray Rice after the Steelers couldn't move the ball to start the 2nd half when Baltimore was putting it to them last January. Or the interception two drives later. Both of which gave the Steelers the ball inside Baltimore's 25 and essentially saved the season.

Never.

Meanwhile over on 93.7's the Machine this afternoon: Which would you take, today's Stillers, or the Stillers from 3 years ago?

Not kidding.

wow 2 friggin plays.... keep trying or better yet look at the regular season stats, 1 forced fumble, 4 fumble recoveries, 7 interceptions, and 1 sack since starting with the Steelers in 2006, 60 games. He's not a good tackler, his form his horrid and how often does he cover ground to break up a pass supporting someone losing their coverage.

Bowser, this discussion is about Ryan Clark as a horrible person. Not Ryan Clark as a horrible football player. That belongs in the Steelers thread. :)

That Clark ambush on Filiponi was amazing....best segment i've ever heard on the fan. Clark is definitely an idiot for calling the media retarded....I'm sure numbnuts filiponi took it too far regarding the head but...but if a guy is concussed you should hit him in the head....i don't think there's anything wrong with saying don't hit a concussed guy in the head.

Back to terrible fan radio talk, anyone listening to the nonsense roethlisburger talk this morning? God, talk about 3 guys completely afraid to actually criticize a guy. Alexander is the only one I respect on this argument, but he refused to go the extra step for his argument to make sense. Basically the jist is, Gianotti was blindly defending roethlisberger and being unable to comprehend what alexander was saying. Alexander was saying the same thing i've been saying for years, that roethlisberger doesn't read defenses well enough to make quick decisions and get rid of the ball. But wouldn't just go the step to say that he refuses to put the prep work in to be that qb. Just that he'd rather be a "gunslinger".

You guys can scream at the TV, call radio shows, email Rooney, ***** and complain, post on messageboards until your fingers bleed, none of it will make a bit of difference.
He is a gunslinger. Always was always will be. Whether you like it or not, that's what he is. Not going to change.

My advice: best to enjoy the Ben while you have him. In 5 years you'll be watching Cliff Stoudt and David Woodley part 2.

by the way Alexander is wrong, when Ben calls the plays he always mixes in a balance of run and pass, he doesn't throw it "50 times".

I'm sure alexander is wrong about some things....but he's definitely right in that Roethlisberger cannot run a Manning/Brady/Rodgers type of offense. He can't read the defense well enough or quick enough to get rid of the ball as quick as those elite qbs do.

I'm pretty sure everyone involved in Steeler nation is confused by what to complain about with regards to the Steeler offense. The argument this morning was going in about 8 different directions at the same time....I know there is a sentiment that BA doesn't run enough, but there are people that call and say they are too predictable and Arians isn't imaginative.

I think the confusion is derived from the success they had in the tennessee game and why that wasn't replicated the next week....would anyone not want them to play every week like they did against the titans?

I really hate listening to the fan unless it's Mueller (sp?) late night. Other than that they force Pitt down our throats. I know you broadcast their games guys but how many different ways can you say they stink. Even Steelers topics take a backseat to Pitt on there. It's like they don't see the Steelers are good, the Pens are good, that's what people want to talk about. Not how non-hocktain the Pitt offense is or whether Tino is the guy. Just STFU about Pitt already.

I followed him on Twitter for a couple of weeks and I had to unfollow because I absolutely couldn't stand his tweets. I really don't know where he gets this sense of entitlement, but man, he really thinks he has the answer for everything and is right about it all.

If I'm hearing correctly, the topic on 93.7 is which team is more satisfying to beat: NE or Baltimore?

I've listened to a lot off sports talk from NYC and Philly and they never do this crap.
