Re: TV Shows
I still think Mike and Molly is funny. So far it hasn't been quite as funny as the 1st season but I'm still laughing.

Re: TV Shows
I finally got to watch on DVR the first episode of the Simpsons.
Just like most episodes of the past 15 years, it was disappointing. What made the show great was that is mainly revolved around the town of springfield and it's characters and their adventures. Now most episodes solely focus on Homer being loud and obnoxious (as compared to chidlish and aloof in the earlier episodes) and a guest start with some outlandish adventure that doesn't really include Springfield.
The show really went down hill after season 10 IMO. While some episodes have gotten better of the last few years, nothing compares to seasons 2-10 IMO. I guess that is what happens when you try to run a show for 23 years.
I guess the only reason I still watch it is I've been doing it since I was 10 years old. I keep thinking the end is coming sooner rather than later and I want to keep the streak going, but after watching it, I feel like I'm punishing myself.

CSI is really good with Ted Danson. Has given the show a spark.

I don't know. It's very sexually driven so far, maybe too much so for my taste.newarenanow wrote:Is that show any good. I was thinking of watching, but just haven't had the time. Shoudl I even bother?PensFanInDC wrote:American Horror Story

Pause for mocking...
I'm going to watch the third episode and see how I feel. I really want to know what is going on and that might be enough to keep me watching. Tons of mystery so far but it's at the very beginning so that's to be expected. I find the 'secondary' characters are more interesting than the 'main' characters and that is where the mystery lies. Jessica Lange is brilliant so far.

Re: TV Shows
We watched the pilot last night, we had forgotten about it until it was on after Sons on Tuesday, and that was the last airing of the pilot, so we set the season pass. 23 minutes before the first commercial. Certainly not kid-friendly content. Intriguing.PensFanInDC wrote:I don't know. It's very sexually driven so far, maybe too much so for my taste.newarenanow wrote:Is that show any good. Re: TV Shows
Karine Vanasse singing the German anthem with the "old" lyrics was a memorable scene, I have to say. Not quite as powerful as the Marseillaise in Casablanca, but memorable nonetheless. I totally dig Colette. I want to marry her.Pavel Bure wrote:Pan Am is pretty good so far.

Re: TV Shows
Yeah the show is actualy totally different from what it seemed it would be. And the character devlopment so far is pretty darn good. I really liked how they did JFK no CGI just a tasteful shadow which kept the focus on the show and the characters and not the recreation of JFK

Re: TV Shows
I agree. Very intriguing. I'm not a horror guy, but the characters are very interesting and definitely want to see where it goes. Was surprised how far things went in the second episode.PensFanInDC wrote:I don't know. It's very sexually driven so far, maybe too much so for my taste.newarenanow wrote:Is that show any good.
