Ah, but isn't it impossible to NOT create a time loop since everything occurs simultaneously, and time is an invention made to cope with our limited perception? Like its impossible to go back and kill hitler as a baby because hitler was not killed as a baby.
Technically, it is common in sci-fi to introduce the alternate time-line for time travel situations where you want to avoid the grandfather paradox which is what you are referring to with killing hitler. Some scientists (and of course science fiction authors) speculate that if time travel is possible it will be a situation where the infinite universe theory people are correct and you end up traveling into a different universe entirely to avoid the grandfather and causality paradoxes.
So basically what I am saying is that the show is not breaking any new ground with this time travel theory; it is a well established convention in science fiction.
So changing anything in the past is either impossible due to this paradox, or irrelevant because any changes you make would create a branching timeline.

I was not a huge fan of Terra Nova. I will give it another shot, but I found it silly and not too much entertaining going on.
As for the time travel theories, I enjoy the Futurama scenario where Fry is able to go back in time, kill his grandfather, have sex with his grandmother, and make himself his own grandfather.

I want to see this. Looked pretty cool from the commercials

I'm sure you do
The time rift was caused by popcorn he bought at the grocery store. Time travel would never have occurred if he only ate at restaurants.
Anyone watch the new show on Discovery called American Underworld? Absolutely KILLER show! Its so intense. This guy basically embeds himself with people who commit some pretty big felonies... drugs, theft, identity theft, etc.

Define "restaurant": Is eating a pizza or a sub considered eating at a restaurant?

Didn't watch Playboy Club. I watched Suburgatory.
I didn't think it was that bad. Not the best, not the worst. I'm willing to give that one a few more episodes.
When I go back to some of my all time favorite shows, and I watch the first few shows, most are garbage and I wonder why I stuck with the show. This is especially true with teh Simpsons and Friends.
DVR'ing Person of Interest tonight. Missed the premiere but heard good things about it.
Hated "New Girl". The affect she puts on her voice reminds me of the Amy Poehler character in SNL skit with Horatio Sanz and Jimmy Fallon(?) where she is constantly talking and calling him "Rick! Rick!". Ugh.

That part confused me too. It would have worked better if they moved from Compton to Beverly Hills.
