Yeah, from what I have heard there is more to the story --> He had to deal with some major personal issues as soon as he stepped on campus, and that pretty much killed his confidence from there.

I do like him on the radio though.

If it's who I'm thinking of, he's one of the few that I don't mind. Not saying that I'd go out of my way to listen to him, but he doesn't make me want to change the station instantly like Filaponi does.

I just saw this (and not that you need anything else to know the guy was an idiot), but Meyer has said in the past that Notre Dame is his dream job (he's Catholic and coached as an assistant there before he went to Utah).

I called into him a couple weeks ago when he was doing the "goodell is a hypocrite, why didn't he suspend so and so". He was reading off the indiscretions from Talib and Britt and asking why they didn't get suspended. I called in just to say that Goodell stated that he wasn't going back to suspend for any incidents that took place during the lockout. He said that wasn't true, and took some comment from Goodell out of context, saying that he was going to go back and suspend players.

Am I right..didn't Goodell say that he's not suspending any player for anythign that took place during the lockout?

they asked charlie batch about the suspension thing in the newspaper and he seemed to imply that he agreed with the decision not to suspend anyone with lockout shenanigans. kenny the kangaroo did not read anything directly quoting goodell saying NO SUSPENSIONS!

Ok, but he was at ND for 4 years coaching WRs before going to BGSU.

In his authorized biography "Urban's Way," written with former FLORIDA TODAY sports editor Buddy Martin, Meyer refers to his Big Three coaching jobs, the only three his wife Shelley has no veto power to block him from taking a job at. They are Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan.

Of those three, Meyer's self-proclaimed "dream job" -- his quote, not mine -- is Notre Dame.
