I will set a deadline in the write-up from now on. But quite frankly the writeup was at 945AM, A day phase that lasts 9 hours is a bit long.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:I think what has taken place with the vote deadline was a little unfair for mac. The deadline wasn't announced with the last writeup so it didn't allow mac to defend himself and to allow the village to potentially turn the vote. I think that if a deadline is going to be set from now on, it needs to be announced at the writeup.
The deadline was imposed at 225PM, roughly 4 1/2 hrs of time had passed until the deadline.

I think it's unfair that a deadline was enforced like that when there was still good conversation going on. Mods have always allowed a deadline to pass if posting was still going on and a limit had not been reached.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:I think what has taken place with the vote deadline was a little unfair for mac. The deadline shouldn't matter for a day phase if people are still working things out and talking.thehockeyguru wrote:I will set a deadline in the write-up from now on. I agree, the deadline should have been announced from the very beginning. Placing one in the middle of the day when things were still being sorted out was a little tough.
But we should have played it better. It is what it is. Time to regroup and move on.

Everyone has their own rules. I know mine have been criticized before, but it's a learning process. At the end of the day, you can't please everyone. As long as the rules are consistent throughout a game.columbia wrote:THG is doing this as a service to others, remember.

Re: The Battle of Gettysburg **Game Thread**
I generally prefer that deadlines be set in stone* in the writeup, but it was announced well beforehand. It sucks that mac got voted out by 4 people, but it's part of the game. We failed to even come close to reaching a majority and mac was unaware of the deadline/unable to post. A fail on both sides I would say.
Not like it's the end of the world however. Plenty of game left to go.

I don't think that is true. There' ve ben many strict deadlines enforced.IrishEyes wrote:I think it's unfair that a deadline was enforced like that when there was still good conversation going on. My preference as a mod is deadlines set in stone.

Re: The Battle of Gettysburg **Game Thread**
After the unfortunate death of the Union Seer Maj. Gen. John Buford, the Union General, Gen. George Meade, took it upon himself to avenge the death of his Cavalry leader. At nightfall, he pointed his Springfield single-shot rifled musket at an unsuspecting target and fired. When the smoke cleared it was apparent that
Having heard the gunfire from Cemetery Hill Gen. Robert E Lee exited his headquarters on Seminary Ridge and fired a shot from his own rifle through the town. His target though did not have the same good fortune.

Re: The Battle of Gettysburg **Game Thread**
Well, the write up seems to imply redwill is not himself tge angel.
Doesn't seem he'd be acting so antagonistically if he was some other green. Seems way more like conduct designed to draw the bullet of our vig when he knew he had protection.
Shoot redwill. Color please-phone.

I don't think I was acting antagonistically. I went with mac (along with Kraftster) and others followed.

Re: The Battle of Gettysburg **Game Thread**
well i think there are are probably 2 angels? confederate and union? and id imagine that union vig would shoot at another union member so redwill was probably protected by the confederate angel. and i would think that the confederates would protect themselves? shoot redwillKraftster wrote:Well, the write up seems to imply redwill is not himself tge angel.

While I'll admit it has been kind of fun, someone else is having a great deal more fun at the village's expense.Kraftster wrote:Redwill having fun these past couple games :lol

He lived too long last game, won't let that happen again.
And sorry about my inactivity so far, it's the first week of classes for me so I've been busy with that.

I'll go with that. Like I said, it's been a long while since I've been blue AND survived this long. I guess I've been a bit drunk about it.Kraftster wrote:Fearlessly would perhaps have been a better word.
