I have never asked them to beg from crying out loud, just say: ACCEPT OUR OFFER IN 15 MINUTES or the offer is gone! Not much too ask from Ray if he had any real interest in Jagr other than saving his own image.
And how do you know that they didn't do this? How can you blame Lemieux for not being very ticked off over the way Jagr and Svoboda have handled this?
I am disgusted by the way Jagr and his agent handled things and I am just as disgusted by how Shero ended things (Until I know all the details of what happened)

Here's the details:

- Shero had gameplan going into free agency

- Jagr got all emo about Pittsburgh

- Mario got all emo about Jagr

- Ray's like: What the f*ck

- Ray offers Jagr deal

- Jagr gets all emo about emo

- Ray's like: Eat me. I have a multi-million dollar business to adhere to. Beat it.

- People melt down

- Ray's like: Grow a pair.
In Shero We Trust.

Do you think Rossi realizes that he was just team Jagr's pawn the whole time? Poor guy, thought he was going to be on top of a huge story, turns out he just looked like a buffoon.

I'm not sure who that team is, but I think those will be the characteristics of the team that signs him.
The Sabres would be kind of amusing.

Per Dejan: Also, anyone who thinks Svoboda was calling shots here ... wow, no. Jagr always has been maddeningly hard for agents to control.

Agree that is also a possibility. Zero pressure with the max possible $$$ a team will offer.

I'm hoping someone in some restaurant somewhere in the world recognizes Svoboda and takes a crap and mixes it with his food.

the way I see it the Penguins called Jagr's bluff on a number of issues, and he looks like a huge **** at this point.

Get over it, he's a 38 year old has-been who hasn't won a cup since 1992. Who cares, we don't need him.

No vindication. I remember the way he left. I had bad feelings about that at the time.

I didn't want him back when the conversation started.

Then I got sucked into all his bullsh*t and changed my opinion to where I was hoping it would occur.

Yesterday, I had the feeling he would burn the Pens.

And his immaturity and selfishness or arrogance or ignorance (whatever you want to call it) was proven to have never gone away.

So I don't feel vindicated. I feel burned by him again and absolutely thrilled that we are done with his drama forever.

Well I am pretty sure almost every top winger out there hasn't won a cup since ever.

It is one of the great mysteries to me how Vinny and Cook have a show during the workday. They are soooooo bad.

Am I the only one who loves Starkey and Miller in the afternoon though? (Seibel... meh)

If he signs with Philly, I want any picture of Jagr in the arena to be taken down.
If #66 is as PO'd as people claim? I'd say that's going to happen regardless of where Jagr plays.

You don't make Mario look foolish. And Jagr did just that.

I could see Jagr turning this into a Sundin situation. Might not sign with anyone until Decemberish.

I just still think it's funny that Jagr flew all the way over here to get rejected by the 2 best options for him in the NHL. LOL!
