I honestly think some people think a top 6 winger has to be a superstar.

Benz tried to float the idea today that if Jagr and Kennedy resign that you push Neal down to the 3rd line perhaps.

I changed the station.
Dear God. How does one become a "sports analyst." If someone started a thread on this board saying that he would have been crucified. So many posters on this board are so much better than these "experts."

No. They just think that a real top six winger magically turns into Jari Kurri when matched with Sid or Geno.

There aren't a ton of teams with 2 wingers as good as Kunitz and Neal.

He was saying that in all of this Jagr talk Neal is the forgotten man and no one knows what to do with him.

Really? Funny, because I say you plant him right next to Crosby or Malkin and let Dupuis/Kennedy fight it out for the remaining Top-6 player through the year, unless you try the Staal/Malkin line again (Crosby, Malkin, Kunitz, Neal, Jagr, Dupuis/Kennedy/Staal). Talk about some good competition between Kennedy/Dupuis, and having no real losing situation if one wins out over the other, since you just swap them back and forth between the Top-6 and 3rd line.

I agree with you; I was shocked when he said that, because normally he's pretty good talking sports.

I honestly think though that some people think in order to have a "legit" top 2 lines, it has to not only be filled with Crosby and malkin, but also a bunch of Hossa's, Kovalchuk's etc.

It's a playstation mentality.

Maybe Admin can help them with Hello Kitty or Winnie the Pooh.
Pooh, possibly, brought back Jagr.

A lot of casual fans really have no idea just how good Neal is/can be. He's going to make most people forget about Goligoski this year. The guy hits, backchecks, and has one of the fastest releases I've seen in a while.

I just watched the tiebreak between Djokovic and Tsonga - AWESOME tennis - I now fully understand why Jagr never left Wimbledon :thumb:

I for one thought Neal played well but for not finishing. His shooting percentage will increase to his career average, he is an RFA, just an awesome trade by RS. Now if we could get rid of Niskanen

No one said that, but having a "complete" line in the sense that you have a legit 1st or 2nd line of LW-C-RW. We have 4 in Crosby, Malkin, Kunitz and Neal. It would be nice to finish one line with a RW. No one says it needs to be Kovalchuk or Hossa. But it can be someone better than Dupuis/Kennedy. Jagr fits that bill. There's plenty of other affordable players that could not only produce more than Kennedy/Dupuis, but compliment them better.

Relax with the passive-aggressive insults.
