I don't think this is the case but
What if Jagr Watch was a huge smoke-screen for Brad Richards to Pens.

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
Maybe Jagr is just stoking the fire with suspense so when he announces at 12PM that he's signing with the Pens people will be more excited. Maybe?

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
They probably just have stuff ready to go if he does sign. They want to put it up immediately. It's like cities planning parades half way through the finals. You have to get all the work in place and have all the logistics figured out prior to a final result.Gaucho wrote:littlemoonboot wrote:Last day or so I've kind of grown skeptical he'll be signed but....

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if he didn't make a decision today. If it's not done today, I think he is not coming to the Pens.

Comment on TSN:
An optimist would look at the Pens your way. A realist would look at the Pens and see a team built on 'gimme' draft picks that's fallen apart in the last 2 years due to cap issues, ahd not a team thats 'been to the finals 2 of the last 4 years,' but a team that has failed to get past the 2nd round in the last 2 years. Of those 3 teams he's likely choosing from, Montreal is the only one who is improving because the other 2, while still great teams, are on the decline. Report this comment!

Yeah. I'm hoping that he has already decided on Pens and that they're just waiting on start of free agency to announce it.newarenanow wrote:I honestly wouldn't be shocked if he didn't make a decision today. If it's not done today, I think he is not coming to the Pens.
He can take his time and negotiate for several days, but Pens already made their final offer it appears, so if it's not Pens today, it's probably over

at this point if J2K doesn't sign with the pens, I'm afraid that Pittsburgh may be destroyed by riots.
