I'm with you. And when a guy hits the wall, he hits it fast. Look at Kovalev. In three years, he went from point per game player to total scrub. Jagr didn't put up eye popping numbers in the KHL. Some of the guys who outproduced him this season: Alexander Radulov, Patrick Thoresen, Pavol Demitra, Alexei Morozov, Josef Vasicek. The year before that, some names include Alexei Yashin, Radulov, Thoresen, Marcel Hossa, Jiri Hudler, Jozef Stumpel, Morozov, Vasicek, Jan Bulis.

Jagr was a 70 point player in his last NHL season before that. There's little reason to believe he'd still be a great player in the NHL. Decent, probably, but decent may not be good enough when you consider the other ramifications of bringing him here at his price. And it IS going to be about the money with him.
It stills annoys me that no one wants to bring Thoresen back to NHL. He's arguably the best norwegian hockey player ever, and yet we don't get to see him play (well, I could watch the KHL, but you know...). Guy wants to play in the NHL too, just wants more than 3rd/4th line minutes and an acceptable wage.

You could probably get him for what your offering Jagr, and he's been top 5 point scorer in regular season and playoffs the two last seasons.

I don't see it anymore. Possibly someone with a sense of humor working for the Pens :)

Should be: Hur står det till, Lesky?

But well, I have now slept 7 hours and read the few pages of Jagr rage that ensued after I went to bed. It did not cheer me up, it is what it is though.

My gut feeling is that Jagr is not going to give the Pens a decision, and Shero will have to move on and sign someone else.

I just don´t think Jagr could tell Mario to his face "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO".

I hope I am wrong of course, but I am expecting nothing but hell today!

Only my two cents but if jagr has concerns
Playing with core; time to move on. Shero
needs to pull offer . Lets get tk and another winger.

As long as the team is comfortable with what they're getting from Ryder. They don't call him "Easy Ryder" for nothing.

hi guys, hope everyone is well today. it's actually sunny over here in Scotland, which makes a nice change.

quite excited about today, I have no idea how things are going to turn out but I'm going to be firmly in the mass hysteria camp (assisted by a few drinks later) if Jagr signs with the Pens. If he doesn't then so be it as I think the Pens will be looking good anyway.

What time is it over in Pittsburgh just now?

For the hearing impaired, the National Hockey League and Petr Svoboda Enterprises will introduce "Jagr Listen".

One of the few time I have laughed because of his column:
Luckily, his agent Petr Svoboda can't seem to stop talking and is engaged in the most shamelessly public negotiation since Sean Young wore a homemade Catwoman suit to lobby Tim Burton for a role in "Batman Returns." So there's plenty of information and scuttlebutt.
Hey, after Jagr's agent literally had no idea where his client was on Wednesday night, we'd say anything's possible.

2 hours to "deadline" and only 11 users online. Shocking really :)
