Wow, I'm taken aback by that DK letter...I hope Jags and Svboda have already gone to bed.

That's...hmm...that's interesting. And, either it goes along with what the one guy was saying about how the deal is already done and they're just trying to get a concrete number for a feel good story, or it is where that guy got the idea for his story...ams wrote:I'm not sure that this means anything (and I apologize if it's already been posted), but...

Interesting, nonetheless.

Why would they post that headline with these recently added Jagr photos? Intriguing!

That link came from Puck Daddy, btw. I must give credit where it's due. Still don't know if it means anything other than the fact that the Pens web folks like to be prepared for all possibilities...

Hopefully Dejan will continue to provide his insights to the penguin faithful this upcoming season. He's really the only pgh sports writer worth a damn.
Thanks DK!

Whoa, that is interesting! Who found that link on the pens website? It certainly coincides with the news out of philly that they already have a welcome home banner ready for tomorrow. I mean seriously what are all those images all about???
And yes btw, I liked the DK letter, couldn't have said it better!

This thread is slowing down for the night, but I'd be willing to bet it sets a record for posts over a 6 hour period (tomorrow between 8AM and 2PM).

The image links aren't active, they probably haven't turned on the permissions for those images to go live yet on their website. Hmm...

What do you think JJ is doing right now?
And you can't say he's at Rivers or Borgata...

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
I've been following this thread since #Jagrwatch REALLY took off (I started when it was up to page 150), and I figured I would make an account to get involved, especially since I saw that the replies are dwindling, if at least for the night.

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
TIOPS is reporting that Jagr may have some concerns about connecting with the Pens' young core and may feel more comfortable being around seasoned vets in Detroit or his buddy in Montreal.
Honestly, I'm fairly indifferent to Jagr coming here, but I just don't want him going to Philly. I think that would just burn

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
To be honest, the Penguins have made it routine for older guys to come into the locker room and mesh with the young core. As long as he doesn't expect the team to be his way or no way, he would fit in fine.Hugo Stiglitz wrote:TIOPS is reporting that Jagr may have some concerns about connecting with the Pens' young core and may feel more comfortable being around seasoned vets in Detroit or his buddy in Montreal.

Seriously, you guys have broken me. I thought I'd be a fool to dream that JJ would ever re-sign with Pens, and now this 282 page thread has me convinced that it is a done deal. Thank you LGP for setting me up for an EPIC Failure. Good work, job well done.
