You obviously don't know that Shero's LGP username is Lesky, do you?HomerPenguin wrote:I'm glad Shero doesn't seem to be obsessing over this

He's no closer to signing with the Detroit Red Wings, either. Really, he's not much closer to anything, except the irritability of the people that have to deal with the ongoing story.

None of this is getting in the way of Shero doing anything...that all changes come 12:00 tomorrow though...HomerPenguin wrote:I'm glad Shero doesn't seem to be obsessing over this, because if he sees a chance to go another direction and improve the team before His Majesty makes up His mind, he needs to move on it.

Exactly, which is why Shero has to be over it by 11:59, which I'm confident he will be if he's not already.KG wrote:None of this is getting in the way of Shero doing anything...that all changes come 12:00 tomorrow though...HomerPenguin wrote:I'm glad Shero doesn't seem to be obsessing over this, because if he sees a chance to go another direction and improve the team before His Majesty makes up His mind, he needs to move on it.

That would be neat. Jagr looked like he could lose some weight. At least we would know the location of Jagr as well!HomerPenguin wrote:Ron Hextall is chasing him around waving his goalie stick.Lesky wrote:Eklund just said the Flyers were in hot pursuit of Jagr!

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
The Jaromir Jagr saga has a pretty good chance of stretching into Friday.
Penguins general manager Ray Shero said early this evening that, while he did not rule out Jagr selecting a team this evening, it might not happen until morning.
Or later.
He added that agent Petr Svoboda told him in later afternoon that "Pittsburgh is still very much in the picture" for Jagr.
The Penguins have offered Jagr a one-year contract.
He is believed to have received proposals from Montreal and Detroit, and perhaps a few other clubs

Finally... something from a reputable source. I guess Shero hasn't taken his proverbial ball and going home.Lesky wrote:The Jaromir Jagr saga has a pretty good chance of stretching into Friday.

I walk away for a few, then come back to 30 new tweets on twitter. Got my hopes up, then realized it was only Christian Ehrhoff signing a contract.

TIOPS said Shero talked to Svoboda at 5pm, not much of an update, but at least we know we're still talking. Hopefully Shero is willing to up the offer to around or slightly less than what Detroit is offering.

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
Not going to lie, I was "rooting for the story" as Savaran said in regards to the melodrama that would be a jagr return.
Not going to lie again. I think I've changed my mind. I want to hear that Shero hung up the phone on Svboda and refused to accept the numerous phone calls that followed, went in to free agency and signed someone else.
